I got the keys to the Dwemer Vault in the Mudan Grotto, but when I get to the vault, the Steam Guardian, who is supposed to have the key to the cuirass, is not there.http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Mudan_Grotto

it is a unique handplaced steam centurion with more health, just use the morrowind cs as
a reference
OK I fixed it... I think. I created a new reference of the steam centurion that has the key in his inventory and has the same stats as the one in morrowind.

That did it for me! Also the armor meshs and textures work for me too, I can see my arms in the armor.

Interesting, this is the second report of problems with this area. The cuirass is there (http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/bugs-issues/1185) but it has it's own issues as an item.
The poster of that thread didn't say how he GOT the cuirass though... maybe he just unlocked the door with the console.
Can anyone verify that the Steam Guardian is not there?

Here is the original thread where eloth created the Steam Centurion (not sure if this is the same thing or not, but it sure looks like it, and it looks different from the Sphere Centurion)

Here is David's project thread, where he says that MorrowOblivion_Creatures 1_4 was merged
... So I'm not sure why the Steam Centurion not showing up. Hopefully it will be just a little work in the construction set to get this fixed.
