First of all let me start by saying that I absolutely love all the work that you guys have done on this project, this is definitely a game that I'm looking out for impatiently, so much so in fact that I've pretty much ignored TESO's release. Skywind looks very promising and I can't wait to experience all the revamped areas and new content.
With that being said, there is one thing that I'd like to suggest, that I think is lacking in Skywind...
If you look at the various fanart and concept arts of the game, and if you ask anyone what they remember most of Morrowind's environments, chances are that they're going to point out the giant mushrooms that are visible in some regions of the island.
Thing is, there aren't a lot of visually different types of fungi in the environment and they only appear in some regions. In fact, due to the lower map height of Morrowind (compared to Oblivion and especially Skyrim), there aren't a lot of "distant" background elements to look in awe at except Red Mountain and the Vivec area. Most of the "flora" in Morrowind are trees, not mushrooms.
What I would recommend is creating a lot more varied and unique-looking types of fungi and filling ALL the various regions (even the more deserted, arid ones) with them. Giant, colorful mushrooms in the Acadian Isles region; dried up and twisted mushrooms in the Ashlands; smaller, more numerous, glow-in-the-dark mushrooms in the Bitter Coast region... you get the point. I understand that part of what makes Morrowind's world so unique is its "harshness" (a lot of areas in fact contain rocks, ash and dead trees), but I personally believe that adding fungi to these environments should add some color and "alien" shapes to environments that I believe suffer from being unicolored.
This is the one thing I believe is missing in Skywind and I hope you environment artists are going to consider my suggestion as I think it would enhance the uniqueness of the Morrowind world...
