I recorded a few of Huleeya's lines from the excel file. Hopefully this is gearing towards what you're looking for! Also, I hope normalizing the file didn't make it too loud. If so, I can always re-upload it without the effect.
Hello, I've got quite a bit of amateur acting experience and I've done voice acting for a couple mods (Black Mesa and the Fallout 2 Restoration Project). I thought it might be fun to lend my voice to this mod, if I fit in anywhere.
My Argonian audition... I did two versions in the same file, the first being more upbeat while the second being more labored. Would love some feedback when you can!
Hello folks! Ben Wilk here, I found out about this project and I decided to do some auditions, I will also put a link to my Vocal Demo here just in case there is a voice that you feel may work for the project.
Alright, took me a while to find the time to go through these, and I've got a new idea for a direction for the Argonians that I hadn't put into the original post. I want them to go with more of a Hollywood Native American monotonous accent, and keep the amphibious voice. Slow like an ent from Lord of the Rings. Hard to explain until I get a proper sample.
Anyway, here are the quick feedbackings.
Ben
The sound quality is good. I like the hissy quality of the voice, but I would ask that you go with more of a monotone, ‘Hollywood native American’. A bit lower and slower, too.
Frenchifrench
The sound quality needs some work. The voice is alright, but I would like to see more of a stereotypical Native American cadence.
Sleepless
You might need a new mic, and definitely need to clean the audio first. There’s a lot of noise. It’s hard to evaluate your voice, but look at the updated first post for a better idea of what to go for.
Thoronil
Your sound quality needs some work. The accent is currently too British. The aspiration of the voice is good, and the ‘slowness’ is good. Just try a Hollywood Native American accent.
Billy_Ambrose
A bit fast, and not quite as ‘fish out of water’ as I would like, as far as breathy voice goes. Like others, try for a native American accent.
Midnight_Trooper
Jewish Argonian? An interesting direction to go with it, but for consistency we’ll have to keep a similar dialect between actors. The voice is nice, though the sound quality is not up to scratch as it is. I think your voice could handle the Argonian sound well. See if you can get the stereotypical ‘Hollywood native American’ accent, and clean your audio.
Deadpool Dash
This voice doesn’t sound particularly modulated to fit an ‘Argonian’.
DoubleSickle
The first voice is the best. Try for the Native American accent, and don’t roll Rs. That’s getting more into Khajiit territory.
Thor
The voice is a little too far over in the croaky range, and the sound quality isn’t the best.
Boottothehead
I couldn’t listen, 404 error.
ifoughtamudcrab
Couldn’t listen to the tracks.
hazencruz
Voice has promise. Sound quality needs work. You already have the right monotone quality. If you want to refine the accent, feel free to post more.
zlymaciek
Polish accent’s a bit too heavy, I think.
Zopherious
The sound quality is very low. The audio needs to be cleaned, and you might need a better mic. The voice is a bit too quiet. I can’t say much more than that without cleaner audio.
xiro
You have a good voice, though there are a few pops and some noise in the background. The voice needs to be more aspirated, and try for a Native American accent, if you can.
BalruneDarkbrew
Sound quality needs improvement. Read slower, and with the monotony of the Hollywood stereotyped Native American.
Ruski_Nick116
Interesting voice. Not heavily aspirated, but croaky in a throat-sing sort of way. Maybe a bit too Dunmerish? Try for more of a low true voice with lots of ‘air’, and keep the monotony and slowness.
Vilenesko
I really like your voice, and I think it’s malleable enough to handle Argonians well. Speak slower, more breathy, and with the monotonous Hollywood Native American accent.
Speccius
Clean the audio. Don’t roll your Rs. Speak slower, with Native American accent.
EmperorOfJustice
Not a fan of the voice, sorry.
nandrejco
Very short clip, but I can already tell the sound quality needs work. The voice and accent you can glean from reading other feedback.
fhudkins
Great sound quality, and a good voice. Just try it a bit more heavily aspirated, and a bit more ‘monotonous’ like the stereotypical Hollywood Native American.
KanashiGD
Voice seems good. Sound quality needs work. It sounds like you’re far away. Make sure you follow Langotriel’s tutorial from the hub thread.
jympagel
We need to have clean recordings. Don’t add music to your auditions. I can’t evaluate the sound quality without it. The voice seems alright, but the accent will have to change. I still hear a bit of noise and popping over the music. That will have to be fixed.
RooksDA
The voice needs more ‘air’ in it. The accent and speed is good.
MrEllsworth
I like it. It’s a good voice for Argonians. Try with a Native American accent. There are some audio issues, though. Lots of popping. Clean your audio according to Langotriel’s tutorial.
Adam Dravian
Bad sound quality. Low hum pervades the recording. The voice needs to be lower and more heavily aspirated, and try for the Native American accent.
Fefnir
I hear some noise in the background. Voice needs to be slower, more airy, and the monotony mentioned elsewhere in my reviews.
TriumphantBass
Sound quality needs work. You sound far away.
seafyre
Some popping P and B sounds. Your voice is also a little quiet. The more heavily aspirated voice at ~30 seconds in is good, and the speed is good. Just try for more ‘monotonous’.
whirby
Too much like Khajiit. Don’t roll your Rs, don’t speak so fast, and speak with the Hollywood version of Native Americans’ accent.
Harry101UK
Booming audio, hard to determine the audio quality. Other than that, too much like Khajiit. Try to get the voice to sound like an airy Native American ent from Lord of the Rings.
dbconley
Not quite what we’re going for.
Campbell
Good job. I like it.
SIlverhunter
Couldn’t listen to the Argonian audition?
Vicnedel
It sounds like you’re far away. Record 6-8 inches from the mic, and edit according to Lango’s tutorial. Don’t roll your Rs.
ifoughtamudcrab
Too quiet to hear.
xBbloodxTitanx
Listening to it, I think the breaths between lines need to be edited out. The way you say the lines needs that Native American accent, but you’ve got the idea for the basic idea of the voice aspiration.
Racuvar
The sound quality needs some serious work. You might need a new mic. hard to comment on the quality of the voice. It might be okay.
Wow, I haven't been here in a while. I guess I'll re-audition, since you put up sample lines! Before the VA department got reorganized, I did a few Argonian characters that got accepted. I recorded the sample line using the same voice I used for my old Argonian lines, but I'm not sure if what you are looking for has changed?

I would like for there to be a little more distinction between the Argonians and the Khajiit. The same man did the voice for each in Morrowind, and they sounded quite similar.
So don't roll tour Rs for Argonians, and keep the asparated hissing voice, but with a monotonous 'Native American' accent, and with a slowness like you might imagine a cold blooded creature in a chilly environment might display.
I just realized the sample line pulled for Argonians from the old Excel file calls the player 'outlander'. Ugh. Another relic if that horrible editing job where any instance of the player name was replaced with 'outlander' regardless of the race of the character saying it. It's like a white guy moving to Japan for a year, and then calling any American born Japanese guys that come to Japan a gaijin. So stupid.

Okay, no rolling Rs. I'm not quite sure what you wanted out of a Native American accent; I originally went for the low, rounded voice ("Hao."), but when I started making it breathy, it got lighter and turned into this sort of naive-yet-mystical voice. Here it is: https://db.tt/9uJzwJ4C
It just sounds mostly like a modern American accent, though. Again, I'm not quite sure of the accent. Could you explain it more?
Also, was the bad editing a result of not being thorough when making that Excel file, or was it something that Morrowind's text-based conversation system just did badly?
This is my audition for Argonians. The soundcloud has three examples on it, the last more elongated than the first two. Any constructive criticism is appreciated, I look forward to helping out this great mod as best as I can.
Hi! Here is an audition for myself for an Argonian. I guess I kinda leaned more towards the Skyrim style of a raspy voice, although I'm not 100% on some of my pronunciations.
Hello, everyone! These are my two Argonians, On-Wan and Chanil-Lee (I chose them ad random, so it's not a specific audition)
Feedback is more than appreciated!
Hey there, you people!
This is my very first post on here, and I immediately throw on an audition aswell.
Quality may not be optimal, didn't feel like dragging the file through all of my equalizers and stuff.
So yeah, here are my sample lines for Huleeya.
Just for fun.

Here's my take on a male argonian:
Good evening!
Attached is my general audition for an Argonian part. Please let me know if there are any issues with the file!
Here's an attempt.
My Argonian audition... I did two versions in the same file, the first being more upbeat while the second being more labored. Would love some feedback when you can!

Who can resist doing a lizard voice. Playing up the laboured breath as much as anything...
A raspy Argonian? Count me in! =D

Not auditioning for any specific character, so I just recorded Huleeya's lines as an example.
EDIT: Previous version was way too loud, so I brough down the output through the mixer. Sounds a lot better now.
Ok, I tried to slow the cadence down a bit, and boosted the audio. Really trying to suck some breath in on each vocalization.
