What are you working on?

Submitted by Erik on

Hi, this is a thread to post any random crap that you are working on that is related to Skywind, be it Voice acting, Modeling, Landscaping or Writing.

Be nice [External image]

Im currently working on adding more variation to Sheogorad and other areas by building more versions of existing assets and filling in gaps in vegitation size.

Hey, i know its been a while, but i picked up wok i left half a year ago..its  one set of the imperial armors . i worked on retopology, baking, and textures.

if you want to read the long story, click the button.

the long story texti feel a little bad because my breaks are quiet long..honestly, the last months i thought i never gonna model again FOR EVER. not just for skywind, even for everything else. because it felt like i lost all my passion.. ALL of it.. for some reason, i dont know why eccept for depression maybe. i started playing the division, sound funny but it helped me reduce axiety from other people because of the ingame voice chat possibility. after that my whole situation chaged. i meet people there and now iam happier. awesome right ?!:). lets see what future brings but at least i model again. thanks for reading and may the brush be with you .

Smart, you make the best armors! I was JUST looking at one of your tutorials on youtube, so I'll take this as a sign from the gods ;) Welcome back buddy!

Wow! Amazing! Ridiculous how much better that armor looks compared to the Skyrim ones. How many versions will there be?

The other pieces look great too!

hi thx for looking and liking the armor. the texture and the look will maybe change a bit because its rendered in marmoset and skyrim uses a different method to render everything, but maybe, if the preview looks good enough, ravanna can make textures like the example or even better than that.

there are at least 4+(1?) imperial armor at the end i already modeled 3 of them in zbrush.

OOOOhhhh I thought the Dwarven assets looked good, but I didn't think they looked that good! But might I suggest nudging that statue further away from the bridge. Architecturally, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to plant a statue right in front of the walk way, pushing it back out of the way would suffice.

I am currently finishing up the female ash zombie first draft with the highly anticipated audio files from the female va! The ash zombie "speak" I am distressing a bit and the general hits and idle will be more clear but still stuffyish. After I get things sounding generally good I will slice and dice and hopefully get the draft posted tomorrow.

Have been working on these beds, morrowind sure had a crazy amount of unique beds so this has taken a bit of time.

No tan. But West Gash looks pretty sweet. I finished the southern part with a few spots lacking clutter here and there.

So what I saw so far are quite a few dungeons that have been filled with assets. So I wonder, are all assets, or clutter finished or will the dungeons get further updates later in the development stage?

For some regions / types of caves the assets are finished , so the only updates the caves  will be getting will be a final polish .

Ah that is great news indeed. I think a long "walkthrough" video of the world finished so far would be an awesome idea...

Holy crap, Ravanna, that's an enormous dump of work! Looks great.

I often like to update subscribers on /r/skywind with these updates in general, so I always feel a bit bad about the cave landscaping posts - in-game, they'll be great, but they just don't translate very well to screenshots since they're so hard to make out.

On the topic of the subreddit, by the way, if there's anything that specifically *shouldn't* be shared (because you want to hold it back for the blog, or it's too early-stages, or whatever) just make a note to that extent and I'll leave it alone.

If it's posted here , chances are that we are not holding it back

Suran interiors:

( Don't mind the clothes standing up , they are just placeholders for now )

Looks like thats using the wrong lighting templates and image spaces, you might want to check what Balmora interiors use and use that in Suran.

@Herr Eldrad That is some impressive cavework. :) Look forward to seeing more.

Wow! That's a really great one too. I'm a huge fan of the mine carts and tracks. Skyrim itself lacked those kind of things in their mines. I kinda wonder what bethesda was thinking by not having mine carts and such.

Anyways, keep up the good work. :D

@Zerg man that is awesome! I look forward to seeing you create more animations :D

For anyone who is interested. Here is the most recent cave I been working on. https://www.flickr.com/photos/132954544@N04/albums/72157671110636003

This is the cave Tin-Ahhe. I'll be taking more screenshots when I do more caves :)

I think there is some confusion about what Zerg does. He handles behaviors, which ALLOWS for custom/unique animations. Not the actual animations themselves.

Hi, I just joined and it's great to see you all progressively going forward.

Suran Interiors and Paun Egg mine look fantastic. Seriously nice. OK, Gash-Nash's improvement is cool too and in fact all you contributions are great. If I could download those modifications as mods for Morrowind, I totally would! They seem to make the environment alive, which makes the game much more pleasant.

I'm about to do some voice acting for dunmer, khajiit and argonians. I'll edit this post once I got files uploaded. I'm planning to make them suit well with already made soundtrack for the project, so I'm already browsing audio files on forum.
