From what I gathered Natterforme just ports other peoples cool armors over. The original author of the daedric armor goes by the name "McMuffin"... must.. find... McMuffin.... lol
Is there a way to make it so that you can't take anything that's part of the outfit? It would be a little game-breaking to pick up Daedric armor from any random Dremora. :P
It's a bit of a pain in the butt to get it converted so I'll stick with this set till I feel I've got it down. I need to learn more about painting weights in 3Ds Max to get stuff to work better when moving. The auto skin/weight assignment I use isn't 100% all the time and needs to be fine tuned by hand. The biggest pain is if you go back in and fine tune something (or you think you are, but could be throwing something else out of whack) it takes all that shader fixing in nifskope every time just to test a change. But I'm getting better at making more changes all at once so it keeps getting better as you go. Any way I got this far:
some of the weights are funky but getting there. Also after I have it better figured out I'd be into converting some cool clothes if you know of any. (I think clothes could be easier then armor as some have a lot less things)
I'm sure it would look fine without them, you could always add the flowing cloth like from Daedric armour and then change the texture to fit in... Just an idea :P
i could try but i don't know if the cloth is attached to the rest of the armour or not? by the way why do you always have so many brackets in your comments/messages etc?
I know they are big and a little on the ridiculous side.. but I think part of the Morrowind dwarven armors charm is it's good amount of ridiculousness lol look at the giant pauldrons, the helmet, the boots, the giant ass thing.. I'm just trying to make it updated and cool but still keep some of the oddball things about it. It looks like a weird futuristic mechanical beetle transformer suit now and thats what I was going for :)
And thanks! Marin will be doing the texture work :) should be cool!
didnt the make in morrowind the dwarven armor from scrap metal because the didnt figure out howe to make real dwarven armor yet because i could totaly see that armor whit scrap metal textures from skyrim
I liked the idea of adding in a cloth element like LASentry had mentioned. I didn't use daedric I went with arch mages skirt. Will be retexed to but it looks cool to give the idea for now. The screen shot of the original a few posts above is what I was thinking of doing it like. Just beat to hell but still can tell it used to be really nice. Also more metalic not so dull yellow.
Actually looks quite morrowindish good job can't wait to see some crazy textures, the boots bug me though, too pointy and long at the bottom, could just be me though
Big is good, I think it was mostly the pointy that messed with me, big and blocky is the way to go, eloth made fun of it for looking like Lego but that's how I always envisioned this armour, big and blocky essentially turning the wearer into a golem
If I knew how it would be cool to add some glow maps to some parts and a little steam coming out of the vents all over him. But maybe just when you have a complete set on, kind of like its completed so it can power on or something. Also thinking about doing a hollow helmet so your character can be seen inside, and if I do It's going to be beast race friendly, sick of the beast races getting shafted lol A female version will be available to, just regular good old fashioned female armor not skimpy.
I think alexanderb knows how to glowmap not sure about only having it on while a full set is equipped though, but that would be soo cool, especially if you got steam working, so like open faced or transparent glass shield for the helmets cuz if that's possible it would be really cool, never thought of the dwemer leaving anything exposed, but a face shield that you could see through would work perfect
Yes the old girl definitely is in dire need of a paint job lol but that'll have to wait as Marin is working away at making the pack guar nice and sexy first
Guys one of the very first posts I ever made was on armour, saying that we should keep Pauldrons and greaves but that the left and right are together like Skyrim, I get asked about it a lot on You Tube so I thought about having a combination of the two, what say everyone else?
Oh ok, hmmm... I'm not to sure either.
From what I gathered Natterforme just ports other peoples cool armors over. The original author of the daedric armor goes by the name "McMuffin"... must.. find... McMuffin.... lol
look what i found.
BOOM! Hells yeah man, nice work lol guess that clears that up :)
So how do I make the dremora wear it and stuff like that?
its called outfits... none in skyrim have them currently.
When all armors and clothes will be ready, outfits can be created by script automatically.
Is there a way to make it so that you can't take anything that's part of the outfit? It would be a little game-breaking to pick up Daedric armor from any random Dremora. :P
yes, make a duplicate of the item, set it to not equippable, then you wont be able to loot it
So I want to convert dwemer armor mod from oblivion could someone point me to any read me or tutorials? Would I start by:
1)Import the skyrim body/skeleton into 3Ds Max.. then the mods armor pieces without skeleton
2)adjust and fit them to look ok
3)skin and weight them to the right bones
4)delete the skyrim body and export the armor piece
5)fix in nifskope
Got the boots working!
arent we using skyrim dwarven armor? the morroblivion one looks kinda dated
good job on the conversion though ;) try to find the best of the oblivion modded armors and convert them
Thanks :) its cool figuring out how to do it. That's what this is check it out:
http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/37603/?
I think with a retex it could be really cool. I like the skyrim style but it's not "Morrowindy" enough for me lol
hmm that armor needs some more detail done in zbrush or something, and make a good normal map for it, right now it looks too clunky lego like
Well chalk it up to good practice :) I'll use it to learn and until something else gets made
ore confert morroblivion clothes not armor so the naked man and girls get somthing to waer
The clothes will also be worked on.

If you guys find anything cool let me know. I saw qwerty made some cool clothes/robes. What's the word on that stuff?
I know I can do shoes/boots no problem lol skirts might be tricky but I'd give it a go
Update:
Wow man that's actually looking really decent, i wonder if it would look better if the pauldron's were a tad bit smaller?
I'm sure it would look fine without them, you could always add the flowing cloth like from Daedric armour and then change the texture to fit in... Just an idea :P
cool)) will u retexture it?))
i could try but i don't know if the cloth is attached to the rest of the armour or not? by the way why do you always have so many brackets in your comments/messages etc?

Do you like the more normal toes in post #124?
Yeah your probably right, the pointed might be too much. I'm still gunna make them big lol just not as big as the pointed version :)

Think I'm about finished tinkering with it for now:
now it needs a round in zbrush, paint a unique texture for it, with more details, and bake a diffuse texture in xnormal and its done :)
Yes the old girl definitely is in dire need of a paint job lol but that'll have to wait as Marin is working away at making the pack guar nice and sexy first
Hmmm, now how to do that......
Awesome man I'm glad you put it to use! :D

Never! We must make everything metal and grimdark. His pauldron's pauldrons must have massive pauldrons!
Also: Looking great, Khar; keep up the good work!
Umm... ok?
Female version:
Mb create this armour like unisex?
