Hey all!  I'm Teebs, and I'm hoping to lend my voice to the Morroblivion project.  Below are are some audition samples.

The first contains some of Adryn Sarethi's lines with multiple takes, as an audition for male Dunmer roles.

The second contains some male Argonian lines.  I'm less confident about my Argonian voice, so if someone else is already doing or is capable of a better job than me, you're welcome to it.

Hope I can help!

@teebs:

nice, its close to what we are looking for :) i have some dunmers from the main quest for you to voice, we can discuss more tomorrow :)

Hazemac:

I think your voice fits better for redguards, and maybe orcs/nords, i will contact you in the chat next time i see you, would be nice to hear your full potentional :)

I think my pants just exploded, those were brilliant, both of you.

HazeMac, I like those samples a lot though I'm not certain it's enough morrowind style dunmer voice like Teebs has perfectly, but we'll see what stijmunkey has to say.

But whether or not you can make your voice even raspier I believe you'd make a perfect redguard too, we don't have any of them at all voiced.

Teebs, that must be among, if not THE best dunmer I've ever heard and makes a perfect Athyn Sarethi. Your dunmer is indeed better then the argonian.

You're both hired, as far as I'm concerned but stijmunkey has the first and last say on the matter.

I'm with cor on this one guys, simply brilliant, hazmac you are perfect for redguard, but not quite close enough for a dunmer we really need more like the original morrowind on that one, and on that note teebs you sir are amazing. . . Mind officially blown we are more than happy to have you both, as eloth said we still have a bunch of main quest dunmer that need to be done, they will be top priority so if you could pick one of them that hasn't been assigned yet, or talk with eloth and he can pick some of the higher priority ones (ones that are in quests that are finished)then for ahead and do that aswell, and haz go ahead and pick any redguard or get ahold of eloth in the chat and perfect your redguard voice or even try and get the dunmer down, either way through eloth or not just pick a character and post it up here so I can assign you, but I would recommend talking with eloth first as my computer is still blown up so I'm not online as often as I should be and eloth is up to date on everything so he knows what characters should and can be a priority at the moment, aside from that thanks for putting up some samples and great job guys looking forward to working with you both.:)

Will do!  I'm taking summer courses, but I'll work on the Dunmer voices in my off time.  Looking forward to being a part of this project!

Yeah.  Teebs... Dood.  Your Dunmer is amazing!  Right on!

Thanks guys!

I think my personality fits the Redguard better, honestly.  I'm more comfortable in that skin.  My only complete play through the GOTY edition was as a Redguard.  So, you have me pegged.

I'll get right on it!

Cheers.

awesome guys! just let me know who you will be planning on working on whenever you figure out and i will be sure to assign you

Pardon me, stijmunkey (and co. wink), I don't mean to be an annoyance, but say I haven't yet played Morrowind and I want to lend my voice (female, early twenties, mid-low sound [think alto]) to this project. I'm wondering: Do all race/gender combinations have the same voice actor in the original game? (I'm having trouble finding videos of particular characters so I know what sound I'm aiming for.)

Hey lindenlaurel, the number of voice actors for Morrowind was not that many and usually one actor per race/gender.

But even if you wanted to do a single NPC that is ok :) We really need female voices, so hopefully after doing one you'll become inspired to do more.

Stijmunkey will sort you out when he gets online.

TES3 Voice Actor ListJeff Baker: Dagoth Ur, Mehrunes Dagon, Sheogorath; Dunmer and Imperial males

Jonathan Bryce: Argonian, Khajiit and Nord males

    Lynda Carter: Nord females

    David DeBoy: Altmer males

    Shari Elliker: Azura, Imperial females

Catherine Flye: Altmer and Breton females

    Gayle Jessup: Redguard females

Wes Johnson: Boethiah, Malacath, Molag Bal; Breton and Orc males

Linda Kenyon: Almalexia and Dunmer females

    Melissa Leebaert: Khajiit females

    Michael Mack: Redguard males

Elisabeth Noone: Argonian and Orc females

    Cami St. Germain: Bosmer females

Hey all, I just found this project.  I would love to donate some voice talent if I can.  It sounds like you need the help, and it sounds like you need some female voices :)  I will do my best and post something up in the next week or so.

OK, Hazmac your redguard and nord voices are awesome, literally put a smile on my face just thinking about having your voice in game, the orc voice is well done but i think the tone needs to be lower,

elderscrolllover you sisters voice sounds pretty good, maybe a little young so a good match for bosmer, or even bretons or imperials, however it sounds like there is quite a bit of background noise, im just listening on my phone speakers so im not sure how bad it is can someone help out with a quality check???

lindenlaurel morrowind didnt have that much voice acting in the first place just basic greetings and combat noises really, although you should be able to find something on youtube but im fairly certain most of the female actors were used again in oblivion so you can just use that as a reference if you want, looking forward to hearing some samples :)

p1x13st1ck we need all the help we can get, especially with female voices, looking forward to hearing some samples from you aswell :)

Thanks for the help, happychappy! I hope to contribute as much as I can. :) Just have to cross my fingers that my voice "works" with what the project is looking for.

Thank you to you, too, stijmunkey. :) Eloth just PM'd me some awesome samples, so I'm good to go! My new mic arrives tomorrow, so I'll have my own clips up (hopefully) tomorrow night, or the next day.

awesome! looking forward to it!

A quick tip to quickly verify the vanilla voiceacting is to open morrowind Construction Set. Click on the the dialog bubble and navigate to the tab with extra dialogues (don't remember the name) you can listen to some lines (flee, combat, etc...) . Don't forget to turn on your speakers :)

I had hoped to have several races to offer at once, but, it's my sister's birthday today and time ran short. Here is my rough rendition of the Khajiit Thief, Addhiranirr. If it doesn't work, I will be trying at others tomorrow. :)

Also: Digitalparanoid, thank you so much for that tip!! :)

EDIT: After sleeping on it and listening to these off my computer: Oh. Hello background noise. ^^; I knew my computer sounded like a jet turbine but I'd hoped I'd covered it enough. Guess I need to move computers for recording. Also, that Khajiit sound needs work, sorry. These sound too much like I'm only trilling my Rs and the vanilla sound is more than that. (I guess I'll leave these here so other beginners know what I'm talking about.)

TL;DR: I'll give it another shot in a better room later today. :)

yeah, i can hear the boeing 757 in the background ;) You got the dialect right for khajiit, but can you sound more like a cat? lol i dunno how to explain, listen to the morrowind khajiit voice again :)

Yeah, no, I know exactly what you're talking about, eloth. ;) I was rushing too hard last night to keep my word to post and didn't practice/re-listen properly and that's never good. Thanks. :)

All right, here's my second try at Khajiit-- this time with Addhiranirr the Thief.

Also an attempt at Imperial(?) with Ladia Flarugrius, the Savant.

So I have my Blue Snowball all hooked up and I have some free time set aside for next Monday and Tuesday.  I'll try for a couple Khajiit, maybe Sugar-Lips and Ajira.  Maybe a Bosmer or Breton too.  I don't know if I can pull off a Dunmer or an Orc though.  I'll hope for the best and try and help out the best I can :)

Hey lindenlaurel, both voices sounding awesome, I'd say your ready to get stuck in! Maybe with the Khajiit slow it down a little and roll the R a little longer.

And if you can, try to sound older/darker :) The secret is in daring to overact, dont be afraid to make a fool out of yourself :)

(Blue Snowball high-five, p1x13! ;D)

Thanks for your advice, guys! I can fix those things, easy. :) Double thank you for being patient with my attempts. I want to help out, but only if it's done right. Of all the work everyone else is putting into the project, I'd hate to have a seasoned smuggler/thief sounding like an overeager adolescent, jarring the player and ruining the ride.

I'm going to play with my Khajiit sound more, see if I can't get it closer, and post a new attempt sometime today.

Was the Imperial one signed off, then? I can work on that one more, too. As I listened to it as I posted, I worried it wasn't "bouncy" enough to be considered an Imperial. I mean, with Ladia's snappy personality, that's the cadence I felt to use, but, still-- checking. ^^;

Also going to post Orc, Argonian, Dunmer, and Altmer tries later.

don't be afraid to try for the dunmer or orc, we really need some dunmer, and if it doesn't work it doesn't work, no big deal at least you tried, also like eloth said don't be afraid to overact that really is the secret

Meow, my attempt at all the different races. Two versions for the Nord. Please tell me what races I can and can't do. :) I know that some of them aren't too good though. Please ignore the quality for now though.

I'm sorry to be an ad, but if there is anyone looking at this thread considering voice acting, but for the cost of quality microphones-- you might want to check out one of the sellout sales at Woot.com today. Blue brand USB microphones. JUST SAYIN'. I'm only kicking myself hardcore right now.

Hi guys, I was hoping to be assigned the vacant role of Kaushad if possible, now I have my shiny new snowball with pop filter! I have enclosed a sample line: https://www.box.com/s/h3pmpm98cf6mudxbsf7d
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

I've finished a handful of samples...

Ajira is the first two(Khajiit)

Habasi is the second two(Khajiit)

The next two are bosmer Galbedir

And the last two are Dunmer Alarvyne

Let me know if any of them work and if there is anything I can work on.  I know I have a young sounding voice, but I'm actually 26... I'll try my best though :)

Very good sound quality, and the voice sounds OK to me.

Good voice and recording.

Maybe because I coded his Main Quest part, I envisionned Divayth to be excentric, furthermore when it comes to his experiments. "Try this potion (laughs madly). It may save you.. or not)

thanks a bunch guyssmiley I have no idea which NPC's are still to be voiced and since divayth is part of the main quest I guess he is not available. but if I do get to voice him I'll make him more eccentric.

Here are my attempts at Ienas Saranas and Malacath. Both could use a fair bit of polishing. I can also do a bosmer voice, I haven't gotten a chance to record that yet.

As for Ergalla, every time I try to do him I end up sounding like a bosmer. :P

you got the dunmer voice right, except it could be darker :)

@lifelong: so many cats >^.^<

@eloth: I will try and do some more recording this Friday and see if I can make it better.

Anyone have feedback on the Bosmer or Dunmer? I'm good with criticism, so don't be afraid to speak up :)

I also have a quick sample for a Breton.  Honestly my goal here is just to help out, so cheers :)

Thanks (assuming you were talking to me)! I wish I could get it darker, but the only ways I can really do that are to get angry and yell (which I do need to do more with this particular quote), or make it sound like my Malacath. That's why I chose Ienas; he's supposed to be fairly young if I remember correctly.

Ive Started to clean up the OP a bit due to the recent interest in VA, so people can see who is assigned or availiable easier, now under misc (everything other than main quest) is split into collapsable sections male and female for each race, but it isnt complete yet so nothing inside of those are properly assigned ye (except for fargoth as a test) i will finish this up as soon as i can hope this helps, also i will listen to all your samples as soon as i can

I have uploaded a test of the dialogue i am doing for Athyn Sarethi. I would really like some suggestions to where I can improve :)

https://soundcloud.com/grooved-dunmers/the-first-few-lines-of-athyn

another thing. my native language is danish so if anything is pronouced wrong i would be glad to know :)

Is Solin still going to do all the voices he has assigned? He has quite a few voices to his name, and none of them have been completed.

ya he doesn't check in to often I'll have to pm him and see where he is at, but I'm sure we can divide the workload

Male Dunmer and Altmer are now up to date

I kind of feel like I'm spamming, but I do have new news :P
I've been trying some more dunmer stuff and I think I have some solid things, I'll upload some of that sometime tonight (Friday).
