And sounds good just let me know if you wanna do the uploading so we can work a system out. You can send me stuff you finish or I can send you stuff I finish either way I'm just happy for the help! Now we just need someone to help reign in all the actors and work with them! I've done a couple of voices,
I've done a couple of voices, just as initial pieces to see what I can do / try out my new microphone. I've got all of Big Head's Lines (Argonian Male), I was trialing Falco Galenus' first 20 or so lines, Gah Julan (Argonian Male) only line, Inwold's lines (Breton Male) which were very fun, and just for the heck of it, Hircine's first set of lines.
I'll need to work on my timing a little better, and work on cleaning up the lines and consistency of volume, but its a start (considering I've never done anything liket his before). I should also, in the future, be able to record in a quieter location as well, which will help.
If you have any suggestions or tips, I'd appreciate it. If you guys like any of these, I can work on Re-recording in a better environment, converting them to individual mp3 files and making out the .lip files.

Utilizing the wonderful feedback I got from Tajnarasha, I've completed 4 character's lines, and am starting on number 5. They Need to be chopped up and synced with .lip files, but I'm putting them out there to call them, basically.
The 4 that I've finished are
1) Inwold (Breton M)
2) J'Saddha (Khajeet M)
3) Ra'Tesh (Khajeet M)
4) And by popular support, Big Head (Crazy Argonian M)
5) I am working on the 400 lines of Falco Galenus (Imperial M). I currently have page 1 of my 15 page printed script completed. Let me know if you like it before I continue on, so that I my efforts won't go to waste
I've really improved my sound quality to this point, but I'm still working on improving where I can. I've set up an area to reduce echo, and I've adjusted some settings on my Mic. These recordings will be adjusted and fixed as I re-do them, I'll probably post up again when I am truly content with the lot of 'em.

Character is Louis Beauchamp, so lots of weird pauses due to his dialogue being written that way. I'll have to buy a better quality mic if I get accepted but any feedback would be much appreciated.

Where are you recording by chance? There's a bit of a strange hollowness to your recording, making it seem like you're speaking in a tube. Try a closet - the insulation will make a world of difference to the quality of your sound.

Also I suggest putting some heavy blankets or something on the walls where you record. Unlike recording music, with voice acting you want as little reverb as possible. When I was going to school at Columbia in Chicago I learned about improvised recording booths. You want to absorb all the extra sound that would normally bounce off the walls. If there is a need for any effects it is best to apply them in post production.

Hi, I'm Darksun45230. I'm a sound editor for my brother whose done a few VA's for Skywind. Below me is a list of the character's he's voiced.
- Ra'Gruzgob (Voiced: Nazgul, Edited: Darksun45230)
- Mastrius (Voiced: Nazgul, Edited: Darksun45230)
- Korst Wind-Eye (in progress...)
Just to be clear, I'm editing and submitting these things on behalf of my brother who's kinda computer illiterate. The attachments contain raw audio, mp3's and wav files. I don't know how to convert them to .lip files using Skyrim's Creation Kit. If anyone could enlighten me I'd be delighted to do it. Otherwise, enjoy!
Edit: Added .xwm files to the zips. I'm sorry I can't do more.

Hi Darksun45230, Thanks for getting involved. Ok so the trick is to make sure all the files are named correctly and exists in the correct folder (defined in the dialog excel worksheet in this forum) then you can run the following command:
CreationKit.exe -GenerateLips:YourMod.esm
This will load the specified ESM and generate the LIPs for every dialogue line for which there is a loose WAV file under Data/Sound/Voice/YourMod.ESM
WAV files will need to be converted into XWM files using Microsoft's xWMAEnode http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=6812
The final file that is needed is the .FUZ file this can be generated by using Agnahim's Voice File extractor http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/download/file.php?id=950
FUZ is a container format that combines XWM and LIP.
The fastest way to do all of this is with batch generation using the following method:
1) Save your WAV files into the correct folder (dialog excel worksheet)
2) Copy xwmaencode.exe and fuz_extractor.exe to Data/Sound/Voice/YourMod.esm
3) In that folder create a file called "voice-tool.bat" and add the following code to it
for /f "delims=\" %%a in ("%cd&") do set mod=%%~nxa
Start /WAIT ..\..\..\..\CreationKit.exe -GenerateLips:%mod%
FOR /R %%a IN (*.wav) DO xwmaencode "%%a" "%%~pa%%~na.xwm"
FOR /R %%a IN (*.xwm) DO fuz_extractor -c "%%~pa%%~na.fuz" "%%a" "%%~pa%%~na.lip"4) run the voice-tool.bat by opening it.
*This will work with .esp as well

I'm just posting here out in the open in case any PMs have gotten lost in the shuffle. Eloth told me to give Crassius Curio a go and I have a sample ready but it's apparently a role that's already been assigned so I want to know what the status is there before I do any more recording. If someone could let me know, that'd be wonderful.
I have both xwmaencode.exe
I have both xwmaencode.exe and fuz_extractor.exe in Data/Sound/Voice/YourMod.esm and pasted the code into the txt file to make it a .bat file. When I go to activate, however, I get a brief glimpse of a black command bar then nothing...
Ok so just for clarification
Ok so just for clarification you will want to replace "YourMod.esm" with the "skywind.esm" or "the name f the plugin your working on xxx.esp"
If you have .wav files in the appropriate folders it should work.
e.g.
"Data/Sound/Voice/Skywind.esm"
with .wav files inside of
"Data/Sound/Voice/Skywind.esm/malemorrodunmer/"
Running the .bat file will produce the .xwm, .lip and the .fuz files in that same folder.
Yeah, I know. It's just not
Yeah, I know. It's just not working. I've tried using this bat file in my root folder:
CreationKit.exe -GenerateLips:Skywind.esm

Must be 16 bit and mono wav

stijmunkeyIf your generating for the morroblivion file names just watch the video in the first post it goes through how to do it, aside from just get the files rename them for skywind and place in proper directory then open the ck and go to the character tab and click facial animations, it then asks if you want to forcibly recreate all the facial animations, click yes and wait . Problem solved all the lips are created automatically as long as the voice files are placed and named properly and in the correct format you can then convert to fuz from there
As I understand it, the voice files to Skywind have to be correctly named to match Skywind.esm in order to be converted into .lip files. How do I know what to name the voice files I'm trying to convert for our characters (Mastrius and Ra'Gruzgob) if the ones supplied in the sticked attachment aren't for Skywind?

Hello! I'm interested in doing voice acting, and I'm not sure where to start. I play some Skyrim but I don't have it on PC, is that a requirement? Am I able to send someone my submissions and let them do with them what they wish?
Some background on me-I like working with my voice. I primarily do a lot of singing but I alos like to voice act. I'm somewhat versatile. I have a recording microphone and a pop filter as well as Acoustica Mixcraft as my mixing program (though I have very little skill in that dept.)
Finally is there some registration process that I need to go through? I assume you want to avoid opening .mp3s and hearing "BIG OLE ****S" being screamed out. What do I do there?
I'd love to try my hand, even if I don't get picked. Thanks for reading!
