you may be able to find his dialogue on uesp, as for what to name the lines if its not in the spreadsheet just name it the first few words from the line

stijmunkeyOk cool, ill put together a download of everything else I have tonight, do you want the programs and bat files I have to convert them to fuz files by batch, or do you already have a system worked

Ok great, yeah the programs and batch file .fuz  conversion would be great. ATM I was just adding the 44hz .WAV files to the appropriate folders.

Ok ill include those aswell, then all you have to do is addbthe wave to the appropriate folder, then use ck to generate the lip files for everything then just drop the 2 programs and bat file into the folder and run the batch, then viola fuz files. Also the releases can get pretty big do you want to upload them, or just send me back the finished product so I can upload the releases?

Cool sounds easy enough. Ill try find a good place to upload it, if not yeah I might have to send it to ya' :)

So there's this weird thing where a lot of the characters refer to themselves in the third person since they seem to share lines with common NPCs.

Any plans to remove those from the sheet/game? :P

Not from this side of things no, maybe quest people can change them is they come across any, I'm also keeping a spreadsheet of any mistakes I find while implementing the voices so gigaflare while were on the subject if you come across any mistakes in the dialogue just post em up here so I can add them. And sounds good just let me know if you wanna do the uploading so we can work a system out. You can send me stuff you finish or I can send you stuff I finish either way I'm just happy for the help! Now we just need someone to help reign in all the actors and work with them! Then we will have our own voice acting super team!

I've done a couple of voices, just as initial pieces to see what I can do / try out my new microphone. I've got all of Big Head's Lines (Argonian Male), I was trialing Falco Galenus' first 20 or so lines, Gah Julan (Argonian Male) only line, Inwold's lines (Breton Male) which were very fun, and just for the heck of it, Hircine's first set of lines.

I'll need to work on my timing a little better, and work on cleaning up the lines and consistency of volume, but its a start (considering I've never done anything liket his before). I should also, in the future, be able to record in a quieter location as well, which will help.

If you have any suggestions or tips, I'd appreciate it. If you guys like any of these, I can work on Re-recording in a better environment, converting them to individual mp3 files and making out the .lip files.

Anyone have any idea if a Welsh accent would fit any of the characters?

Hey guys. I am having trouble using the spreadsheet. I click on the drop down arrows and nothing happens, so I can't choose a NPC or anything.

Utilizing the wonderful feedback I got from Tajnarasha, I've completed 4 character's lines, and am starting on number 5. They Need to be chopped up and synced with .lip files, but I'm putting them out there to call them, basically.

The Album of voices is here.

The 4 that I've finished are

1) Inwold (Breton M)

2) J'Saddha (Khajeet M)

3) Ra'Tesh (Khajeet M)

4) And by popular support, Big Head (Crazy Argonian M)

5) I am working on the 400 lines of Falco Galenus (Imperial M). I currently have page 1 of my 15 page printed script completed. Let me know if you like it before I continue on, so that I my efforts won't go to waste

I've really improved my sound quality to this point, but I'm still working on improving where I can. I've set up an area to reduce echo, and I've adjusted some settings on my Mic. These recordings will be adjusted and fixed as I re-do them, I'll probably post up again when I am truly content with the lot of 'em.

Hey, just discovered this and would love to be a part. I did a quick test run just on my laptop mic here

Character is Louis Beauchamp, so lots of weird pauses due to his dialogue being written that way. I'll have to buy a better quality mic if I get accepted but any feedback would be much appreciated.

Where are you recording by chance? There's a bit of a strange hollowness to your recording, making it seem like you're speaking in a tube. Try a closet - the insulation will make a world of difference to the quality of your sound.

Also I suggest putting some heavy blankets  or something on the walls where you record. Unlike recording music, with voice acting you want as little reverb as possible.   When I was going to school at Columbia in Chicago I learned about improvised recording booths. You want to absorb all the extra sound that would normally bounce off the walls. If there is a need for any effects it is best to apply them in post production.

Hi, I'm Darksun45230. I'm a sound editor for my brother whose done a few VA's for Skywind. Below me is a list of the character's he's voiced.

  • Ra'Gruzgob (Voiced: Nazgul, Edited: Darksun45230)
  • Mastrius (Voiced: Nazgul, Edited: Darksun45230)
  • Korst Wind-Eye (in progress...)

Just to be clear, I'm editing and submitting these things on behalf of my brother who's kinda computer illiterate. The attachments contain raw audio, mp3's and wav files. I don't know how to convert them to .lip files using Skyrim's Creation Kit. If anyone could enlighten me I'd be delighted to do it. Otherwise, enjoy!

Edit: Added .xwm files to the zips. I'm sorry I can't do more.

Hi Darksun45230, Thanks for getting involved. Ok so the trick is to make sure all the files are named correctly and exists in the correct folder (defined in the dialog excel worksheet in this forum) then you can run the following command:

CreationKit.exe -GenerateLips:YourMod.esm

This will load the specified ESM and generate the LIPs for every dialogue line for which there is a loose WAV file under Data/Sound/Voice/YourMod.ESM

WAV files will need to be converted into XWM files using Microsoft's xWMAEnode http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=6812

The final file that is needed is the .FUZ file this can be generated by using Agnahim's Voice File extractor http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/download/file.php?id=950
FUZ is a container format that combines XWM and LIP.

The fastest way to do all of this is with batch generation using the following method:
1) Save your WAV files into the correct folder (dialog excel worksheet)
2) Copy xwmaencode.exe and fuz_extractor.exe to Data/Sound/Voice/YourMod.esm
3) In that folder create a file called "voice-tool.bat" and add the following code to it

for /f "delims=\" %%a in ("%cd&") do set mod=%%~nxa
Start /WAIT ..\..\..\..\CreationKit.exe -GenerateLips:%mod%
FOR /R %%a IN (*.wav) DO xwmaencode "%%a" "%%~pa%%~na.xwm"
FOR /R %%a IN (*.xwm) DO fuz_extractor -c "%%~pa%%~na.fuz" "%%a" "%%~pa%%~na.lip"

4) run the voice-tool.bat by opening it.

*This will work with .esp as well

I'm just posting here out in the open in case any PMs have gotten lost in the shuffle. Eloth told me to give Crassius Curio a go and I have a sample ready but it's apparently a role that's already been assigned so I want to know what the status is there before I do any more recording. If someone could let me know, that'd be wonderful.

I have both xwmaencode.exe and fuz_extractor.exe in Data/Sound/Voice/YourMod.esm and pasted the code into the txt file to make it a .bat file. When I go to activate, however, I get a brief glimpse of a black command bar then nothing...

Ok so just for clarification you will want to replace "YourMod.esm" with the "skywind.esm" or "the name f the plugin your working on xxx.esp"

If you have .wav files in the appropriate folders it should work.

e.g.
"Data/Sound/Voice/Skywind.esm"
with .wav files inside of
"Data/Sound/Voice/Skywind.esm/malemorrodunmer/"

Running the .bat file will produce the .xwm, .lip and the .fuz  files in that same folder.

Yeah, I know. It's just not working. I've tried using this bat file in my root folder:

CreationKit.exe -GenerateLips:Skywind.esm

Creation Kit closes soon after I try this without generating the .lip files. The wav files were exported as 16-bit. Is there anything else I can try to convert them into lip files?

Must be 16 bit and mono wav files. Also since your files are named the morroblivion names and not the skywind names using the ck probably won't recognize the files so no lips will be generated, so you can either just give is the wav files and we can generate the lips or you can watch the video and it will show you how to generate lip files using oblivions cs Edit: its actually probably easier for us if you just leave the lip files out, its one less file for us to rename properly for skywind, then we can just easily generate all the lips when we have properly renamed all of the wavs

Crassius was assigned to an Eric saleh who we haven't heard from in a very long time, we have tried contacting him and were awaiting a response, we have gotten no such response so that's why Eloth asked you to give him a go, I will delete all of Eric's assigned roles shortly

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was using the Morrowblivion names. I've been using the Dialogue spreadsheet filenames that were listed. If you can direct me to the Skywind names I'd be happy to rename them myself.

That's quite alright, at the moment all we have is the morroblivion spreadsheet, there have been some issues properly exporting the dialogue from skyrims ck

Alright, I've added the .xma files to my original post. We're still working on Korst Wind-Eye but we hope to have it finished something this week.

Hello! My name is Jack Lankester and I'm a professional voiceover artist and actor from Los Angeles. I have been obsessed with Morrowind ever since I stepped off the boat in Seyda Neen. In fact I found this site while redownloading Morrowind Overhaul, and I was blown away by what you guys have created. I knew at once that I had to contribute, and was delighted to see you are in need of voiceover, because I Mod with roughly the same skill as a drunk walrus.

I would love to voice absolutely everything you are willing to throw my way. Definitely Balados Delemvanni. What follows are my credentials:

My main demo page, listen in particular to the "animation" reelhttps://www.acx.com/narrator?p=A1JRHBPX8EQKWU

A spot I did for Maple Story (i play all the roles but the kid):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4HUP9mtNWk

Some narration stuff I did for Nexon, not really character work, but its a gig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7tAxlmEGUE

Hi, I would like to voice act Elvil Vidron for now.

Here's an example of some dunmer voices I did for a mod, If anyone wants to have a listen.  It's uploaded to mediafire, i'll upload the Elvil Vidron examples to soundcloud if you think my voice is suitable for the part.

I am actually get the same thing now...had it working but last night something broke and now no .lip files... tried re-installing, no dice.

My .wavs are defiantly 44.1 and 16-bit mono.

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know, or every if your a programmer and know how to gen .lips a different way.

If your generating for the morroblivion file names just watch the video in the first post it goes through how to do it, aside from just get the files rename them for skywind and place in proper directory then open the ck and go to the character tab and click facial animations, it then asks if you want to forcibly recreate all the facial animations, click yes and wait . Problem solved all the lips are created automatically as long as the voice files are placed and named properly and in the correct format you can then convert to fuz from there

Sweet didn't know about that option, will try this arvo XD

As I understand it, the voice files to Skywind have to be correctly named to match Skywind.esm in order to be converted into .lip files. How do I know what to name the voice files I'm trying to convert for our characters (Mastrius and Ra'Gruzgob) if the ones supplied in the sticked attachment aren't for Skywind?

Just a quick update on my end. Addhiranirr lines have been re-done with fixed volume, just have to fix the files up and re-upload the folder. Worked on a few of the open dunmer female characters, too, while I wait for my throat to recover from working on some of the orc lines. LOL I feel for the guys who are running all those male dunmer lines. ;)

Until/if we get a proper skywind spreadsheet the plan is to just name them according to the morroblivion convention, from there your job is done, we can instantly(almost) add your voice to morroblivion and then me and gigaflare take each of your lines and rename them by hand to implement in skywind, all the while watching and listening for any mistakes that can be corrected.

Great! I hope you do ad many roles as your voice will permit! And yes the male dunmer voice isn't exactly easy on the throat lol, but if you do it right you can significantly reduce the harshness and pain but still keep the rasp

Hello!  I'm interested in doing voice acting, and I'm not sure where to start.  I play some Skyrim but I don't have it on PC, is that a requirement?  Am I able to send someone my submissions and let them do with them what they wish?

Some background on me-I like working with my voice.  I primarily do a lot of singing but I alos like to voice act.  I'm somewhat versatile.  I have a recording microphone and a pop filter as well as Acoustica Mixcraft as my mixing program (though I have very little skill in that dept.)

Finally is there some registration process that I need to go through?  I assume you want to avoid opening .mp3s and hearing "BIG OLE ****S" being screamed out.  What do I do there?

I'd love to try my hand, even if I don't get picked.  Thanks for reading!
