[WIP] Hlaalu Exterior Models by Ziegel999

Hi. My name is Christopher Capito aka. Ziegel999

I joined this project a few days ago and applied to rework the Hlaalu Exteriors. In this thread I will post all screenshots from my work. Thanks to Ravanna for the Template (stairs etc.).

Feel free to criticize and make suggestions.

Finally someone taking care

Finally someone taking care of signature Morrowind models. Good citizens of Balmora depend on you

nice, though could you make

nice, though could you make the adobe surface a bit less static in texture, not by the 'textures' themselves though, but the actual material in the mesh, if possible, like the adobe in these pictures-

because if we convey the material just through the 2d textures, they dont look believable enough upon close inspection

i don't know much about this, but ravanna certainly knows how to make believable materials.

also, check out the old hlaalu buildings thread, much will be of use there

Is it possible to make the

Is it possible to make the building a little bigger or are we just going to stick with morrowind size? Because I think we could make this buildings look cooler with a size upgrade. Other then that looks pretty dang awesome.

Things regarding the size and

Things regarding the size and material definition please forward to Ravanna. I am just a pity little modeller. I have to synchronize things like size and stuff with the rest of the modelling team. So I have no say in this (as of now). Just redoing :)

Third one done.

Third one done.

And with Wireframe:

And lastly the here is the Sketchfab link as always.

I reorganised the way I show the models. So the old links will not work anymore. Have a look at my newly set-up Sketchfab profile, where you can see all models made so far. They are named as they are in Morrowind.

https://sketchfab.com/ziegel999

Note that textures are WIP and not final. I just used the standard tiling texture used in Ravannas Template House. Also the doors are not included in the final model. They are only for adding a little visual kick for presentation. :)

As for why the textures dont show in full resolution I do not know. Maybe its a Sketchfab limitation to free accounts.

Again, I am glad I can be a part of this!

I hope to speed up the creation process by reusing parts from the other houses :) Just tedious welding work I hope.

Reusing parts of the other models worked rather nicely. Though Sketchfab gave me 4 Hours of guess work why it did not work properly... :D

Done for today. Top part is

Done for today. Top part is finished.

After having some extentensive discussion with Ravanna. We have come to the conclusion that I will do two different models. One which has an all open bottom level and one with windows and doors.

First I will do the version with doors however, since the open version requires different archs. Should be done by tomorrow evening if i find the time, maybe even this, the second version and ex_hlaalu_b_23, dont know much, if any, time I will have tomorrow. Good night.

I love those recessed window-shaped areas! I can imagine level designers placing small urns or bottles on them

These areas will also help

These areas will also help differentiate from high-class and low-class houses. more debris for slums, and pots with flowers and such for rich dwellings. I love these.
