Some new plants for Ashland,

Some new plants for Ashland, Molag Amur, and for Red Mountain

For southern parts of desert (ashlands, molag amur)

We have also region which are Ashlands but they are not noted as Ashlands in game. So most lazy option is put there vegetation from near regions, the sond is creating unique one. There is no need to reinvent the wheel because I found really cool examples IMHO. Btw. some of them could be placed in top north too and near Tel Fyr.

I like the idea of plants

I like the idea of plants that hurt you a lot, like Alysanders Bear trap creature it would make you more wary of not just everything that moves, but even the things that dont..

Itd be really intense and make you super paranoid when wandering around in a blight storm :D

Yeah, this is what I wanted. To create feeling that in this region even fauna is deadly.

Btw. ashlands could have some dried lake sth like below (just one texture)

Some I have only one more

So, I have only one more idea for Red Mountain. We have Steep foyada but they looks like riverbed in MW. So I did small overpainting.

Now it looks like cooled lava, good place for assets milking. Blackest are latest leaks, whitest the oldest one. Combining it with dirt texture and rocks it gaves a lot of variations to do.

---------------------

Katsushika Hokusai created a lot of cool painting of waves. So I thought it would be cool for Molag Amur (youngest geological region) to create "waves" of cooled lava in some places. Just sth different.

Collapsed ground under lava tubes and hollow area.

Melted rocks as main type in Molag and less in Red mountain. Nothing too new but example 3. is most interesting for me. I didn't feel to do more when Roman did it before me.

1.a cooled volcanic bomb 1.b hot volcanic bomb

2.a hot lava field (you can walk on it) 2.b cooled lava field

3. Pumex-like small rocks

4. Just some edgy stand alone rocks

5. "suspended" rocks. It can be buried in ground.

6.a 6.b 7.a 7.b cooled lava on flora

some older concept which can be used

I will do concept of MW lava Niagara Falls for Molag, so stay tuned.

Very nice idea with lava flow

Very nice idea with lava flow/road.
Btw, many places could use some sort of separate model of road with tracks of carts and legs.

This idea fits only IMHO for fossilized imprints in mud. If you really want to, you can try to create one asset like that based on some WG rock. It would be nice thing but with low priority.

--------------------

Yesterday's topic gave me some inspiration

1. Tachylite big rock

2. Expanded version of openwork fossilized flora

3. Scorched earth, sth which needs normal map, it's more 3d than my flat "cooled lava example"

4. Melted rocks. Sth like in this picture on the right. Which recolored could be probably used everywhere. It fits to number 5 too.

5. there could be also a'a lava

6. I found some cool rocks similar in shape to vanilla.

--------------------

Some volcanic "moss" would be cool

I found real life example too, but after making concept :P

--------------------

Before sb says "hey, it is too many ideasss to do!!!" I must to admit that I treat them just as references.

@FittedMuhsroom

@FittedMuhsroom

Great to see you work here. I wait for more ;) I think it would be even better if you add some details like in this picture. Please also give your renders of assets here. This topic is for concepts.

--------------

I created additional plants to fill ground in Sheogorad. They are rickety and primitive in morphology just to fade in background. Sth more then them.

9. is very primitive kind of pinewood.

There could be also horsetails of 10.a size

They should be matched in color with texture too. So it's a bit place to play with hue.

And sth like that whatever is this.

These assets seems to be light, they could be in big quantity in many places, so my question is

Are any possibilities to create grassbrush for some of them? Or maybe some clusters?

I wait for feedback if can it work.Some inspirations (1, 2, 3)

---------

Btw. I will work for small flora for Azura too.

No problem :)

--------------------

Bunch of assets for Azura. Additional ones.

Numbers are just grass/flee. A-D are some kind of understory. Big plants are here just mushrooms. Gathered them together they give not distracting fuzzy mosaic. Of course they should be matched color to texture to create more or less monochromatic wholeness from greater distance. Adding some sticking out blades of grass, or some grass flowers to them would be nice too.

For me this region is very marine so I think it's nice to put here plants in branches coral shapes. More examples here.

I think we need here some windblown mushrooms, to add some movement to landscapes. Wind sound would be great too. Maybe wind waving "grass" too?

I found also windblown bushes which could fit here too.Max 2 NPC's sizes (smaller than mushrooms. In proper direction towards to mainland.

That Azura Coast's plants

That Azura Coast's plants really suits it. I can imagine it grows around sandy beaches.
But equisetum-like green plants for Sheogorad looks like good items for Bitter Coast and Ascadian Isles.

I've over-painting and it fits. Maybe they should be smaller and less green.

But I noticed that dwarf-pine forest are not good here (my old concept).

Btw. Much better IMHO are big ferns for Bitter Coast (of course not only them), now this area seems to me pretty barren.

The only lichen which I could see there are like that

Much better ideas to add sth new here is just use cool Simonus concepts

And give them texture similar like other mushrooms here

I don't know how to call this

I don't know how to call this structure but it would be cool to call it "gate to oblivion" in dunmer. Just nice landmark which could be used as local "lighthouse"

Colors/values could be weird (I have shitty screen, right now

Located here as source of lava rivers and energy for dwemer ruins near by

Serano Ancestral Tomb could be located in tunnel beneath "that".

I have seen this in videos but in grater scale it would be cool too

Some places like that can be also. It probably doesn't need any addinal assets.

I think something along these lines is a good idea, but calling it "gate to oblivion" seems to me to be to much of a reference to events that do not happen until 6 years later.

I like idea of this

I like idea of this "structure" with lava leaking around and through it.
Maybe it even looks as basin crater filled with lava, and don't need additional cone volcanic assets around it.
But entrance to it would look a bit funny. It must be filled with lava and callapsed in days.

I really like the idea of debris clutter. We should have a burnt wood texture and do some new forms of various bits of objects that have been abandoned and burned.

Nice work as always RomanDubina

Awesome! This looks really

Awesome! This looks really good Roman, pretty much how I imagined Grazelands. Only thing I'd do perhaps is make the tree a bit crazier. Grazelands are so far in the north and desolate that it can have much more creative sci-fi flora.

roman, heres some info for u on grazelands.
Google pillow basalt for the style of rocks, but mostly arent visible amongst the dirt and grass.
The largest hills form around steam vents, long thin ones. (like those found in skyrim)
heres some stuff to work from.

so dark rock.
orange and black soil.
lots of grazed eaten grass.
lots of poop from guars.

It would be great to see such

It would be great to see such grass fields. IDK is this possible to make grasses with size of salt-rice/wick-wheat ?
to specify: Plant on last pic is Adenium. Smbd can use it (and its' family) as reference.

And thats (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5f/Adenium_...) how leaves looks.

IDK if i will have time to work on models there, but i can upload current things. Smbd can improve it's textures

@Rav

In this case, when we have dry grass like that (which I like honestly) leaves should be dry and no so saturated as well. I would prefer to not leave them too eye catchy.

Such element could be great

Such element could be great cave/interior entrance for region if someone can make model. That would be much more interesting for shore caves, than ones that was before. That is very nice work Roman, as always. However i presume Hackle-Lo must be succulent now.
