I modeled most of the rich dunmer style furniture a few months ago for a personal project. They're pretty basic models done fairly quickly in max, using morrowind's texture maps. Recently though, I've started taking my first baby steps into mudbox, and I'm going to try working on some of these models. Any advice or warnings or suggestions would be welcome, as I really don't know much about sculpting yet beyond the basic sort of process that I've been learning in tutorials.
For now though, I've attached the original models, they're better than morrowind's models but they don't seem to have much punch as they are. I'm hoping some new textures and normal maps will fix that. These are the models I'm planning to use the base for my sculpting though, I'm sort of going through and cleaning them up as well as setting up the new uv maps.

Wow! Those look great! If I could suggest one thing, it'd be to ever-so-slightly desaturate the wood textures, unless the interior image spaces are modified instead. Maybe even new textures :P
someone's been productive! ;)
cire992 from facepunch? Good to see I'm not the only facepuncher here.
Wrapping up the lower class dunmer furniture:
A few models left. Just using the current skywind textures for now.
Very nice indeed!
Wow, you have no idea how much work has just been taken off haha! Thanks so much for all of this :D
Lower class citizens don't get colored blankets? =(
They can't afford any kinds of coloured blankets. And why should they? The are poor! Their life is a greyscale!
But also - amazing work, cire :)
Holy cow, Cire! This is going to help our interior designers like nothing else; hats off to you!
Awesome work cire.
Are they wrapped to morrowinds old textures?
Regarding the beds, I have blankets as separate models which can be placed on top of the beds for added variation. The lower class dunmer set is complete, files attached in fbx. I'm moving on to the imperial/common set, the last of the furniture sets for skywind afaik.
edit: attachment here because of new site.
Now thats looking sweet. Good work.
IKEA can go and stuff it! you my friend is the new furniture king ;)
Nice job, Han Solo.
I like it. I really do.
But the gold leaf embellishments on the rich furniture don't look very Dunmeri to me.
And the poor furniture's surfaces, like the shelves and the tops of the tables and dressers, looks less rough-hewn, and more like it was carved that way on purpose.
Here's a batch of imperial props, the upper class ones, these really need new textures.
This is awesome work, Cire!
Wow, those look bloody amazing! You've done such a good job, I will be proud to see them in-game :'D
Damn that's some nice furniture. Keep up the good work.
Truly amazing work cire992, keep up the great work.
Thank the Tribunal! And here I was considering getting guys from Ikea :P. Amazing work sir, digital hugs for you
hey cire, i couldnd give you thumps up but i will thump you up this way :) so here it comes ... thumps up :)
Back at it, some of the imperial middle-class pieces. Doesn't look like much with old textures, does it...
Well the models are definitely better, like 100x ;)
*bump* Josie is currently looking into creating the new textures (based on morrowind ones) for cires new furniture.
Cires wonderful work has been left too long here, hope the downloads still work!
Eloth will probably be converting them, so if Josie wants to make new textures...GO HARD! :)
Whoops, here are the latest files: Common Middle Class.
And the others, for simplicity. Textures for rich dunmer furniture are in the skywind textures folder (data/textures/morrowind).
Dunmer Rich, Dunmer Poor, Common Rich, Pottery and Clutter.
