I think I might have actually found a tutorial for getting bones from blender into skyrim. actually I don't know for sure if its bones or if its just animations but either case it could be helpful I think. Its a pretty sketchy website it comes from though, thats actually partly why I don't know if its bones or animations, when I got to the website all I wanted to do was get out of there lol. but if the tutorial is real It will really help me and might help you guys out.
[edit]heres a link to the search I made. Can't actually get to the website so I can't give you a direct link but its the 6th one down. WARNING!!!! it does have pornographic images on the site. Also You have to get a login to get the tutorial (which is the other reason why I don't know if its for just animations or not.
just finished hair on rat not too long ago. just need to do some extesive tesing to see if its real looking enough before release, i can already tell the teeth are too bright.
notice the fur, and the Skin Map, making the ears have translucency to light (if that made any sense lol). should be up for release in about like hrmmm idk, tomorrow maybe.
I think the new models look great. I would only suggest to maybe make rat's tail a bit longer? I believe rats normally have longer tails (and I've seen few rats. One even attacked me - it was actually one time when i used my combat experience from computer games - i kicked it like in Fallout! Well... thank God it was smaller than this one!). And thanks to that it may gain a bit more rodent look.
is a nice rat only things that would make hime more rate like would be the tial and if the body is rounder this guy look realy skinnie what make's hime more wolv like
Well it bounced of the wall and ran away. I would like to take a minute here to explain that I would never hurt harmless animal. It actually attacked me. Funny how such a little thing can be scary when your imagination works and you can see how it climbs to your throat and bite it, infecting youwith rabies ;)
Technical question, probably for alexanderb to answer, but can people model (zbrush scuplt) against a skeleton that is in a different state, other than usually default one?
So example is the bear in its standing pose. If somebody wanted to scuplt a model in zbrush but wanted to do it against a creature on all fours then can this be done?
Do you guys remember that Grahl, the professional model? Well, I was thinking about it, and decided to email the guy who made it asking about it. And he just emailed back saying that he didn't make it into a mod because he wasn't familiar with Bethesda's character rigging, and needed a technical artist but couldn't find one. And furthermore, he wanted to remodel it and make it better. And of course, that leads me to here, seeing as how we have people that could help him out. So maybe one of you guys who have the knowhow should email him, and see if when completed we could use it for Skywind. His site's http://rosskimballgameartist.wordpress.com/
You also might want to get Kevin Massey on board hes a 3D artist who is already in the industry. I've tried to get him onto the Nexus and hes loving it so far and is willing to learn more about rigging and using nifs etc.
Heres a model of his ancient Slaughterfish he did a while back.
Ha coincidence, I've been talking to Kevin Massey for a month or so now and already invited him to morroblivion. He got the monster mod guy to help him with the fish.
as we all know alxb released his betty netch a while back.. and its amazing!
but after releasing someone sugested another skin, its basically gel but in my honest opinion i prefered alexanders origional 1 :/ i looked more like in morrowind...
I agree that the Nix Hound looks unfinished, it just needs some texture adjustments and maybe more detail to the head and feet, and the green recolor makes it look too rubbery like some creature from an old star trek tv episode, all other creatures in-game look outstanding, they are skyrim quality or even better

The rats pretty cool but I'm really looking forward to see the Balled Chinnian in game haha!
Dude that's insane! Maybe an idea, you could make the tail texture slightly more scaly? Nah I don't know it's probably just more work haha.

This
rather than
That would be only better, if new creatures will be scary, thin-limb, and spider-like.
I'm sick of skyrim and oblivion mammal-and-furry fauna.

shotgun! tell him it'll be in safe hands :)
I could do it quickly, if its already posed to a pre existing animal.
Tell him to come along, sign up, and we can discuss.
also happy: yes, you can sculpt a creature in any pose, and make the low poly, but it will snap back to the default pose when in engine.

not bad. wonder if we could get more sea creatures in, i have some whales for sea of ghosts that are begging to be added

i rember your whale and narwhal to bad the stil arnt swimming around in skyrim
To make new creatures really scare you just need to look some videos from Boston Dynamics.
Please make Nix Hound more dark and may be with "tiger"/"zebra" dark green/brown texture. Now it looks not like animal.

am I the only 1?
