Hasphat Antabolis

Okay, Hasphat Antabolis is Completed: http://www.mediafire.com/?b3m34zg3lxcd44a

For whatever reasong I couldn't generate the lip file for fbmwMQ02_1SixthSHouseSreferences_0001C17E_2

I don't know why and i'm not worried about it at this point.... Everything else should be good to go.

Also, I noticed that some of Hasphat's lines were under  morrodefaultquest. That seemed weird to me....

It would be superb to have an excel file that we could sort by character.....

The CS sorts by character but leaves all of the generic lines in there....

I've recorded all of Gilvas Barelo's lines. Once I clean them up and make the esp I'll be uploading him. Then its Divayth Fry and then maybe the Bosmer race...

Seems this project is finally

Seems this project is finally going somewere. But the quality is uneven at best.

@Ashlander guy, wow you sound very good, impressive. I wish I could do a Dummer voice.

@Icelander, you recordings are uneven, if your using audacity you should use some of tools that reducde noise and even things out. Its amazing what you can do with cheap equipment using audacitys tools. Also as far as your acting goes perhaps relaxing more would help, some of your lines come off forced.

Yo Kefka! @iceburg Don't worry about the file structure. Just put the file where the CS says it should be. All that info is available when you're editing a line, emotions, etc. I agree that it's weird how the Dunmer, Altmer, and Bosmer are in the same folder but that's just the way it is.

Sounds good SB. I especially

Kefka: By 'Iclander' are you refering to me, 'Iceburg'? Icelander does sound kind of cool.....

Ya, no kidding. I'm using audacity and use noise removal and a compresser on each file. Hashpat was a HUGE pain beccause even though I recorded over 90% of his lines at the same time in the same place, I had to reset my noise removal tool between almost every track. Even with that, noise removal was having a fit, making the sound electronic or undewater sounding. (Might have been what contributed to that 'forced' feel, because I had trouble with it altering some of my higher pithces.) None of the other characters have given me so much trouble. Fortunatly, you don't notice much sound variance when you talk to the characters in game, due to the game's ambient sounds.... I'm also running out of different, unique voices to do for new characters, which means after I've cleaned up Gilvas' lines and do Divayth Fry, I'll probably not be able to do any more characters for the main quest. (In which case I'll work on the bosmer voice, sense that's just one new voice with a lot of material, so I can continue contributing.)

This makes it all the more essential that people like you grab a character and put your unique voice into him/her. We could really use the help. :)

Robert: Sounds good; will do. :D

Sorry I was writing in a

Sorry I was writing in a hurry I meant Iceburg.

I don't want to be overly critical its just that I listen to some of your files and there overall quality is not of a very high standard. The forced feel I spoke was more in the delivery of the lines than the voice it self. While for a fan project like this I don't think any one expects professional voice work, some standards I think should be maintained. There is little consistency to the overall recordings. Its like you were experimenting with the settings for each recording itself of getting first getting a good feel for what worksand then using those same settings for all your work.

I have used audacity and as Robert N. can assest to, my voice files have little noise, are reasonably consistent in nature and I am using a simple $15 desktop microphone and I am I have little experience with the program.

Well, I don't know how to

Well, I don't know how to help you. As you can see on this thread, I've constantly checked with Sot to make sure my voice files worked well, and I've gotten the green light. If you want to suggest some individual files I can look at them and possibly re-record them, but I'm not going to go back and re-record all my files/ characters again. I think they're quality works for the project, minus some annoyances with Hasphat. I've also worked to sound natural with my voice, and I like how it sounds. I quit Dram Bero because I felt like he was forced...

Sorry I can't help you more than that.

Iceburg

ps. If you want to give me any advice that isn't already written in this thread, then I wouldn't mind hearing it. ;) I'm open for improving myself, just not starting back at square 1.

kefka - thank you for the

kefka - thank you for the input, voice over work isnt easy, and great production is hard and expensive to get. I think Iceburgs voices work well. On a different note, I would love to hear your voice, what would you like to do. This voice over work is a way for the community to put something into this game. Would would love to hear from everyone.

Also since people are using Audacity, here is a voice tutorial. I am watching it right now to see if it is good enough for the main page.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPVaQQmAtpY&feature=fvst

But under effects you should be able to compress, eq, and noise compress the entire file all the wave forms together at the same time under the same settings and get a consitant sound. You might need to shift click, or controlshift click to highlite all of them at the same time.

The order you want to do, is noise removal, compression, eq. You might need to add another noise removal after eq.

Decent production is not hard

Decent production is not hard to get, I have a $15 dollar mike and use audacity, ask Robert about the files I had sent to him(too lazy to look for them right now). Its basically an issue of consistency, you establish a baseline, for volume, how you physically hold and speak into the mike(closeness to month and whatnot),etc and then do that for every recording. I only did my first voice work this year and did not do much of it besides, but with a little research and a lot of experimenting I was able to get decent results.

What it sounds like with Iceburg and I am referring to Baculu and Cadulus stuff specifically is that your recording methods themselves change each time(or at least several times between the recordings). Input volume, mike position, use of filters, etc.

Did you for example get a baseline by playing original MW  voice files through Audacity and then trying to match there levels? Did you pick a position were you know the mike is at a similar spot in relation to your month each time you record? Etc,etc.

I am no expert here I just find it odd that I often hear some very poor results when it come to the quality of recordings I hear in mods. I use to think it must simply have been equipment, but trying myself with a $15 logitech desk mike and audacity I was able to get cleaner results(less noise, odd sounds, etc) than a lot of amateur voice work I have heard. Perhaps the mike just happens to be very good for the price and the room I record in just happens to be decent I acoustically, but I find that unlikely.

I am no expert those were

I am no expert those were just a few of the things I did, simply trying to use the exact same methods for each recording session, though its hard and I had to record some line a dozen or more times to get things reasonable. And watch those levels! Is easy to throw everything off by doing a different voice(you end up being louded or softer and adding s sounds that you don't want, etc).

And make sure to turn off air conditioners, etc. Even stuff way in the background can add ambient noise. The noise tool is great but less noise to start with mean less aggersive use of the tool and that is a good thing, because heavy use of the tool can affect the overall quailty of the recording in odd ways.

kefka, if you can make it

kefka, if you can make it sound that good, volunteer for a character please :) there are pretty small characters in this game, if time is an issue, and it wouldn't be that hard / time comsuming to post a character for us. I would love to hear it.

But I would ask for one thing, you need to stop overly critisising other people, a little bit of constructive critisism is fine, but I am sure you remember how you've come across in other threads on this forum, and I dont' think I need to remind you :)

Also if you criticis without posting a file of you own, then that is just unfair :) because then we can't hear what your talking about :)

So please feel free to share with us your take on this, but keep it constructive and moving forward. Thank you :)

ps, there are recording

ps, there are recording interfaces at guitar center for like $50, that are USB, come with a program, and are more professional than pluging a mic into your sound card. Instantly less noise. Sound card noise is the #1 thing I've heard so far. I am not hearing much electricity noise, nor did I hear a ground buzz going on.

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Nady-SMPS-USB-Phantom-Power-Supp...

this is better but it is $85

http://www.guitarcenter.com/TASCAM-US-100-USB-Audio-Interfac...

What I use going on ebay $150, but I think it will only run on XP or mac

http://cgi.ebay.com/Digidesign-Digi001-w-Protools-6-4-Digi-0...

I like what I got it is a PCI card, so it is right on the motherboard, so it has great latency, I can record on the lowest buffer size and hear my voice with no delay. It also has some great preamps, It has the high end focusrite preamps. This used to sell for $1500 in the 90's

Thanks for bringing all that up Kefka I forgot to guide people with more information about recording.

I worked with RobertNeville

I worked with RobertNeville many months ago on voicework for this project before your thread ever started, and at that time in discussion we had talked about maintaining certain standards, I had to send "test" work, before Robert would accept me for example(an audition I guess you could call it). Unfortunately Robert became bogged down in other work and things came to a halt. He still has the Fargoth's ring quest I did, with lip files and whatnot I believe. It was working in game iirc.

And he was the one that alerted me to this current work being done and told me to check out the thread, otherwise I would not be here. I had lost all interest in the project because of stop and had not come to this site for months until told to check out the current work.

But as I have nothing currently to do with this project you are right, no point in bothering to be disappointed or being critical of something I am not part of and have no say in because of that.

Kefka>> Thank you for your

Kefka>> Thank you for your understanding. You have brought up a good point. I need to continue teaching and refining voice produciton. I myself have a few mistakes to correct with Cosades. Ones that I am going to work on during the Imperial Generic Dialog and go back and fix. Cosades, to me, needs to be as great as I can get. He is Cosades after all.

There is light at the end of the tunnel (if you don't like the voice overs). This is going to be a seperate .esp that is optional. This will be a mod for Morroblivion. Some people prefer to read while going through just like good old Morrowind and we shouldn't take that away from the player. But for those of us who like subtitles off completely this will allow us to have that as well.

@Sot, its not that I don't

@Sot, its not that I don't like voice dialog, I prefer it. One of the reason I think OB is better than MW is because of Voiced Dialog. I just think that an audition process should have been maintained(I know that Roberts thing and your separate from what he is doing). I guess its an issue of is something better than nothing. In regards to the Morroblivion project I have been impressed at the striving for excellence. That something is not necessarily better than nothing, if that something does not mean a certain standard.

When I first came on here I wondered why someone would choose this over MW itself with mods, but in only a short time more new features were added, that were always of a high standard and clearly show that this has much to suggest itself over simply playing MW overhauled for example.

But your the leader of this project so you make the calls. And as this is a mod for Morroblivion Its not conflicting with any standards set by the base team at all.

Were are all the files being kept? Is there a place to listen to each persons work?

Kefka, I've seen that

Kefka, I've seen that striving for excellence as well. One of the wonderful things about this site is that we arn't assigned to any specific job, its all volunteer work. If your disatisfied with someone else's audio (mine, for instance), you can always submit your rendition of the character, and if everyone thinks yours is better, then they can use yours, because neither of us have been commissioned or paid. Of course, with such a shortage of voice actors, that would be rather foolish to compete with roles that are already done, but if you submited some really sweet audio (take ashlander for example) then people will be impressed and ask you for your advice on how to improve. You can't force us to change, but your excellence can improve us by letting us choose to follow you.

Iceberg, can you check if Fargoth's quest is fully voiced, i.e. complete both ways and make sure all dialogue is voiced and the lips are synced? I just want to make sure that the esp, mp3s, and lip files are properly synced.

I don't have the specific

I don't have the specific equipment and programs recommended in the first post, but I might be able to come in handy in some small way if I had some help.

When I used to work at a bookstore I did the closing messages each night over the loudspeaker and was individually approached by the entire staff and told that I sounded "professional enough to have been a recording" and that I should look into voice-over work. While the former was obviously a specific instance, the latter is something I admit to having been told a few times over the years.

I don't want to oversell myself though- it's all subjective; others could find me terrible. But I do know that I speak well and enjoy doing voices so if there's any way I could help the project in such a manner, feel free to let me know. As I said, I don't currently have the equipment or intricate familiarity with the CS or anything, but if you guys are still looking for some gaps to be filled and would be interested, I could look into making some samples or something.

I wonder though- does everyone agree on inflections and such? Would we be to speak the voices in a more natural style, or kind of a deliberate "actor-y" style such as, for example, the Nords of Oblivion?

Mike>> we are tyring to find

Mike>> we are tyring to find a way for people who don't have familarity with the CS to help. It has been hard as there is tons of dialog in morroblivion. As far as the programs goes, I think Audacity is free, The microphone and cables might run you some money.

If you did want to do voice over work professionally then doing something like this would be great portfolio work. If you are going to do a portfolio, I recommend a decent microphone $100, pop filter $20, (cable will be $20). You can  then make a video of your work (in game video) to present as a portfolio of you talent.

Keep in touch, and we will help guide you through the process. Thank you,

Well the professional work

Well the professional work was just sort of a fleeting "that would be nice" kind of dream; nothing I have any in-roads toward at the moment or have yet pursued. I just bring it up because, for whatever it's worth, others have told me that I'd be good at it and I DO find it to be fun. You're exactly right though- it would be an amazing way to begin a portfolio!

That's actually what I was kind of worried about- the enjoyment is there and the talent may or may not be as well (again; I know it's a subjective medium) but I'm just an average guy without an elaborate setup. And while I have basic familiarity with the CS and how some mods are made, the professionalism of the project and the inner workings of lip-syncing and managing files are things that I would be useless with. I guess what I mean is that I can potentially provide some voices, but the "modding" aspect of it is something with which I'm unfamiliar. At present I'd just be "a guy with a digital recorder".

But I mean if you're interested, I could at least give it a try and see if I can channel some Morrowind voices as a start and go from there. Do you have a preferred consistency as far as tone and rhythm? Kind of what I was saying earlier- is the goal for every character to sound somewhat unique to the game worlds while still retaining some of the "feel" of the official voices, or is the goal more akin to mimicry and emulation of them for a more uniform feel?

You should definatly give

You should definatly give this a try, Mike!

If you skim through this thread you'll find a lot of Q and A, instructions etc. If you have questions I'm sure people will be up to answering them.

With the voice work I've done I started with trying to mimic Morrowind, and then moved to slightly more 'origional' voices. I don't think a person should have a random french or spanish accent: they should fit in the world, but I don't think they need to sound direclty like a morrowind voiced character. Of course, if you can, that's wonderful. :D

If you download Voice overs V002 from the first post in this thread, you can have a listen at what the characters sound like so far...

hope that helps. We could sure use another voice actor!

I don't know how I missed

I don't know how I missed that voice over file; I'm giving it a look now.

I agree that random brogues shouldn't be added to the game. I love the series - I'm not nearly up on my lore like many of the rest of you are, but I'm sure that voices already specific to certain places on Earth would be a but much. I've been recording myself for a bit and listening back and I go back and forth between trying to emulate an Oblivion voice and doing one of my own, and I suppose I'm not yet sure where my groove is yet.

I've also tried a few different races, and for whatever reason Fargoth was one of the first to spring to mind. It felt pretty natural talking for him for some reason, and I was fairly pleased with the results, but then I noticed that Kefka already provided dialogue for him, lol.

Anyway I'm still putzing around a bit, trying some more voices. Like I said, I've just got the digital recorder but it makes it easy to send up some mp3s if anyone's interested. I could even send the Fargoth samples but I don't want to step on Kefka's toes. For some reason he just felt the most natural so far. While a famous character would be cool, I'd just be happy to help so if ultimately my voice can contribute to the project I don't care who I play.

Should there be concern for how deliberately paced the dialogue is, or do you prefer that it sounds more natural? Also, I noticed the pronunciation matter in ealier posts- that will be an interesting challenge as well (though not everyone pronounces everything the same in the real world, so my personal opinion is that "mis"-pronouncing a fantasy name would be okay).

Rock on Mike!I talk a ton, so

Rock on Mike!

I talk a ton, so go for it. I find that talking helps me figure stuff out, so I think its a good thing, especially on a forum. :)

I'd love to hear some of your stuff, and I'm sure we can point you towards the right direction if you want to upload a couple variations. What we normally seem to do is to upload it to mediafire and then post a link here, as there is a pretty small file cap on the forum. Check out that first post to see which characters are open and which are assigned. We're trying to knock out the main quest first...

I work on making it sound as natural as I possibly can without adding or subtracting words, though I did notice that Oblivion voice actors will add an 'unscripted' laugh now and again....

Already I've pronounced names different than Sot :/ oh well. Ya it happens and at this point I think your right, maybe my character isn't educated well or something, or that's how they said it seyda neen....

Hope that helps. Keep the questions and enthusiasim coming!

That does help. Oblivion is

That does help. Oblivion is natural to an extent, but it also sounds like a script at times. That very well could be what they wanted- to speak slowly, clearly, and at an even pace. And, not being a professional myself, I don't know the techniques or preferences involved in recording consistent dialogue between actors. Oblivion does sound wooden sometimes, but maybe that's the trade for keeping a good pace and the audio clear.

At the same time, I found that in reading some lines to myself I was what I considered to be too fast. I don't want to catch the player off guard in this hypothetical scenario, but it feels more natural to me than being conscious of the pace. I suppose I'll keep at it and see what I come up with. You're making sense with your explanations.

I listened to a lot of the voice files; got some samples. Some sounded good, others not so much. I'll give this a shot. I think I'll find some noteworthy characters whose dialogue I'm more familiar with and upload several, so I can try a few different races or characters and see what you think. I'll get that up in a little while.

And I just realized while looking over some of Morrowind's shrines and caves (and already hearing "Hlaalu" said differently than I do) that yeah, pronunciation consistency is not a realistic goal. XD

I got pretty busy last night

I got pretty busy last night but I managed to spend some time trying some characters. I tried some dialogue of several different races but my battery died and I was only able to get two saved to my desktop at the moment.

Here are some files of me taking a stab at Fargoth and Caius Cosades; chosen because they were easy to access quickly. Again, these are by no means any kind of official submission or anything- the sound is low and so was the recorder battery, so please don't judge too harshly- this was just a first step experiment in messing with a few voices.

Dang man, you've got some

Dang man, you've got some skills. I think your lines sound good! :D

Check out the first post. Sot lists the characters that are available and those that are 'taken'. My question for you is if you think you could do dunmar or beast races. These are the hardest races to do and we have just one person on the sight that i know of that can do Dunmar. That being said, I've done some dunmar (like Neloth) that don't have the traditional rasp, but if we can get the rasp that would be wonderful. So if you can do dunmar or beast that would be wonderful because that and female voices are our two biggest gaps right now.

Ya, apparantly one morrowind dunmar calls it La-loo. I've played this game on xbox, pc, and now again through Morroblivion, and always called it high-la-loo.... oh well....

Thanks for the compliment!I'm

Thanks for the compliment!

I'm a bit bummed because yeah, I know those characters are taken but I was surpised at how fun I thought Imperials would be and that I'd had SUCH an easy time being annoying Fargoth. I started thinking I could totally do the Wood Elves, saw they were taken, then started thinking eh, maybe I could do the Imperials but then saw that they were taken too, lol. Unfortunately the characters I would have the easiest time with all appear to have been spoken for.

I'll fiddle with the beast races tonight and see if I come up with anything good, although I admit that they're the characters I'd have the hardest time with, primarily because the familiarity isn't there- I've never played through the game with them, the only ones besides High Elves to have not had a play-through. I wouldn't be opposed to the Dunmer but I don't think I could do all of them, being that they're the most prevalent race and I have probably the least amount of equipment, lol.

And yeah, I myself have always been in the habit of pronouncing it as "Huh-LAH-lu". Different strokes. Speaking of spoken dialogue, I just thought of something- can't the voice files from Morrowind itself be transferred over with the mod? Obviously there's many and I'm assuming that if the answer was yes it would have been done already, but I'm curious what prevents it so far.

Anyway thanks again for the compliment. If my unideal setup on my first attempt was met with such approval, then I have hope of maybe helping the project. Now to slip Sot or Kefka some cash so they give up their characters... XD

Haha. Sot's revising and

Haha. Sot's revising and tweaking, but other than that I think he's done with Caius, which is HUGE.

Ya, I snagged the wood elves up... haha.

If you can't do beast, its no big deal. We just really need someone who can.

If you can do dunmar, that would be AWSOME. Hopefully Ashlander can do some dunmar and you can do some dunmar. You don't have to do all, but the more you can do the better. :D As Sot always tells me (and its good advice) take it slow though so you don't burn yourself out.

Regarding spoken Dialogue, Robertneville777 is on it. He's transfering all of the spoken dialogue from morrowind to morroblivion. It is mostly non In-conversation-dialogue. Find his progress and that thread here. At this point you'll notice that in Morroblivion Silt Strider people tell you one of my favorite morrowind lines: "We make a special trip, just for you. Same low price." :D

Ya, you sound like you've got a lot of flexibility in your voice and you sound really natural. Keep it up. We could really use voice talent / enthusiasim. So thank you Mike. :D

I kinda completely forgot

I kinda completely forgot about voice overs! It seems like I've deleted my Yagrum Bagarn recordings and I am not in the mood to record them again anytime sooner, so you can erase my name from him. About Dagoth Gares, could you please check out if I have successfully edited my recordings, I can't understand it myself.

http://www.mediafire.com/?522ndee2jxyioem

There are three files:

Original recording
The one I edited
And the one I added echo  to the edited as Gares is in a cave which may cause actual echo.

After you approve my recording is okay I can edit and send you the other recordings.

Dan>> Nice voice!!!  Great

Dan>> Nice voice!!!  Great for both of those characters!!!! I am not going to get all emotional and hate you if you do a better Cosades then me :) I would rather have us finish the project first, then double back over and upgrade things. I would go to the main post on this thread and start clicking names that are not done yet. The link takes you to the wiki where you can see what that character looks like and get a feel for them. If you are having a hard time getting dialoug with the CS let us know we will do our best to help you. And when we are all done and you still want to take a crack at Cosades... remember that is like a 10-15 hour project.... :)

Dark South>> The voice sounds nice and clean, edited pretty well. The only advice I could think of is volume. MP3 conversion always quiets things so compressing the sound more and then turning up the volume after, always does the trick, but at the same time it's no big deal if you don't do that. I did like the echo one, myself :)

anithinks>> Thank you :)

Bacola was done by a friend, and I need to clean up a couple of those files, but Thanks man!

I really need to get back to working on this voice stuff again.

It's exciting to see people renewing the enthusiasim of this thread.

 So I've gone though and

So I've gone though and edited the first pass on Gilvas Barelo. I have 21 files that sound good and 17 files that have enough noise that I need to re-record them. ERRRGGG

I don't get where all this noise is coming from!

I've changed to stereo recording, as that may help noise removal. I also went into control panel> sounds > recording > levels and found that my mic was at a low level with a large boost. I've swapped it so that my mic is at a high level with no boost.

From the couple test runs I did this seemed to help reduce noise levels. Now I just need to wait until I have a sound-clean room to re-record the lines in....

---------------------------

Sot: I just had an idea. What if we got someone who knew how to work the CS but couldn't record and had them work on ALL of the emotion sets. Then people who recorded lines wouldn't have to worry about the emotions, you wouldn't have to merge a lot of esps, and the person working on the emotions could move pretty quickly through the stuff.... Then again, this is weak in that the person would either need to do emotions after they had the voice files, or hope that the emotion in the voice matched the emotion in the subtitle by guessing based on the words...

I am sorry, I couldn't

I am sorry, I couldn't understand well, only putting mp3 files to the right directory with the correct name told to us, is enough? Do we have to do anytihng about lip synch?

Yeah make those lips move !

Yes, you need to generate the LIP-Sync files as well.

We all like to see the lips move.

i guess i can help

I chuckled when i downloaded this and heard several american accents (am australian); however, i am very interested in lending me voice as that seems to be only way i am capable of assisting - i have a recorder device and know a little in sound dubbing so yeah - ill pick saryoni, the high priest, if thats ok. and um i think i need greater clarification in how to find an individual npc's dialogue if someone can help. i can find some but there must be an easier way than trolling through various editor id tabs.

Man that would be cool if you

Man that would be cool if you guys could team up to make even more realistic sounding voice files... Then we can overwrite what files have been voice acted with the actually acted files, and move ever closer to great, fully dialoged Morroblivion. :D

I'd love to help as well

Hey I'm new to the community, but I'd love to help out with voice-overs... I'm a pretty experienced actor and have been recording music since I was about 15 (28 now)...  If you have any lines you would like me to do, I'd love to help out with it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHt1Ir0UbTc&list=UUnd0AQvkqe2WFSP1lWsKm6w&index=1&feature=plcp

Not really a good example of a voice-over, but you can at least hear how my voice sounds just normal speaking.  Pretty good with cartoon voices and other kinds of impersonations as well... I'd just really like to help out with this if you'll let me.  Not really good with programming or game-making at all, but I do have a talent for this aspect of it and I'd love to be a part of this.

It'd be awesome to have you

It'd be awesome to have you help us out here! This thread's been 'dead' for a while, and I havn't seen Sot around, but basically check out the first post. Grab a character that hasn't already been claimed and see what  you can do with them. Then post a mediafire link here. Who knows how long it'll be till this gets revived, but you being here may do the trick.

finding the right dialogue to record for dummies?

You'll have to forgive me, I don't really know my way around the construction set at all.  I tried downloading the old Excel sheets and they were no longer available.  I recorded a few lines of dialogue, then realized there's a pretty stringent way that you guys want the files named and a particular folder order as well.  Is there a video posted or at least a step by step instruction on how you want this done?  I want to help, I just don't want to go rogue and do things in a way that will just create more work for everybody else.  I'd just like to contribute, not hinder or be a bother with my n00bness.

At the moment the best I can

At the moment the best I can point you to is checking out the very begeining of this thread and skimming it for a general idea. Depending on my schedule I may be able to answer you some specific questions from time to time.

I'm not sure if you *can* do voice recording without the set. The link shows you where the set is. It's free, so if you're willing you can grab that and get working. I'm not sure if there is another way to do it...

Best of luck!
