Hmm, I'm wondering what feedback you're getting. I record isolated and got no noise on my end. I'll double-check my work and await more input on my voice. Thank you.

Edit: Okay, I hear it now. The frequency's so low that I didn't pick up at first. I'll fix that.

I have the files and I've been practicing some of the Dunmer and I was wondering am I to sound like the files or somewhat like the Dark Elves from Morrowind?

download the spreadsheet in the second post, the file with the actual voices at the end of the first post is just for the voice types because there is no text for it, always morrowind style dunmer, it's really the only voice we are particularly picky about it has to sound as close to possible to the original

Voice actors,

just so you know, I've tested some of these ingame (Skywind). It's awesome :D

Keep them coming !

I'd like to help, but I'm really... REALLY stupid, so I don't get how the whole "dialogue script" thing. And I have only a little experience with Creation Kit, so if it's okay, I'm gonna leave these samples of my "talent" in voice acting, and see if I'm good enough or not. Khajiit: http://k007.kiwi6.com/hotlink/7w0k374h7k/mq201_mq201askfordrinktopi_00008367_1.wav Dunmer: http://k007.kiwi6.com/hotlink/4usas591jc/mq201_mq201askfordrinktopi_00008367_2.wav Orc: http://k007.kiwi6.com/hotlink/21me8biko9/mq201_mq201askfordrinktopi_00008367_3.wav Dragon (IDK why, really...): http://k007.kiwi6.com/hotlink/kb7sq393w7/mq201_mq201askfordrinktopi_00008367_4.wav I know they're not scripts from what was provided, which I was too dumb to figure how to use, lol. But they're just samples. :P BTW, I really like this mod so far, and I'm really looking forward to seeing it complete, keep up the good work guys! :D

@DJD2010:

Thats an impressive khajiit voice acting :) your hired as a khajiit, pick any free character from the spreadsheet in the first post, and record all you can do, and just upload the wav files, and we will fix the rest for you :)

p.s can you borrow/buy/steal a better microphone? the sound is so thin, no bass/lower end :)

Thanks!

Ok, will do, I'll look for a friend to lend me a mic, I know this is horrible, cause I use my iPhone, lol.

EDIT:

Okay, sorry. I can't seem to figure out how to find the dialogues that I'm looking for, even after reading the tutorial...  Excuse my noobiness, but I never worked on Excel before.

can you click the little drop down filters in the top corner of the spreadsheet, they are green that is how you can sort stuff, did you watch the video in the first post cinjaxon uses the spreadsheet some in that maybe it will show you what you are having trouble with

Would I be approved to voice Mehra Milo or do you want me to try another female voice?

if you can do a british accent and try to act more when you speak, then you could voice mehra milo :) you could also do the nord and wood elf voices, and probably imperial female voices.

There is many characters to choose from, since its only 2 girls on the voice acting team :)

Got some more Bretons done, fun set, especially Marcel Maurard and Louis Beauchamp, a bit of a challenge having to purposely stammer.

i need the names of all the characters included in this or is that the only 3?

Edit: Nevermind, actually if you could i dont need that whole proper file stucture if you could just save each characters files in a seperate folder each(name the folder the name of the character) it would be a lot easier for me

Ps Great work! your burning through those bretons!

Ah, yes, didn't think about that.  here's the restructured version.

thanks a bunch! helps me keep it organized to convert to skywind

OP updated, New Release!, and as a bonus just a heads up that the first Skywind Release will be Coming Soon!

Okay, so I finally figured how to find the dialogues. But do I just do everything that I can do from what's in the spreadsheet? I mean how do I know which is done and which isn't? Or are all the completed ones removed from there?

Also, do I have to stick to exactly what's in the sheet? Cause I feel like a word or two need to be added at some point, example: "

Ahhh...she made good on her promise then! Nice dealing with you. Perhaps we can do business again sometime."

I could just add ",no?" or ",yes?" at the end, making it sound more Khajiit like, no?

Sorry for all these annoying questions, but am I participating in Morroblivion or Skywind or both?

I think the dialogue spreadsheet doesn't indicate if the line is done or not.

You have to check the NPC spreadsheet to see if that NPC was done or not.

Regarding adding small words, I'm ok with what you propose (for very small changes). I'm not a purist though. Others might think differently. Also, it would be great if you kept track of the changes, so that we can update the captions accordingly.

Finally, right now Stijj is mostly focused on Skywind, but your files could be useful for morroblivion as well.

Okay, cool. So I do a post frequently saying what I've done and what I haven't?

And it's ok, I'm mostly focused on Skywind aswell. :P

Since I couldn't find a friend to lend me a good mic, and I can't afford a studio quality one. I tried Audacity, and I think it did the job, here's how it turned out:

http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/3x5nj955i1/khajiit_test_modified.wav

Hope it's good enough. If it is, I can start working on the voice overs from now. :)

I'm sorry to sound like an awful nagging person, but no, I don't think the quality is good enough. :/

I mean your voice acting is perfect but the quality of the recording is still pretty awful. It'll stick out like a sore thumb in the middle of gaming, and you can clearly hear that it's amateur made with a bad mic.

I know we already have some bad quality recordings like this, but I honestly think that some are really just not usable... :S

I just ordered a good voice recording mic for myself online and it cost me 55 dollars. I know it's a splurge for a student so of course no is really expected to buy one for this but I think you need to keep trying to get a better mic somewhere because we'd really like to have you on board! Although I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks that we need impeccable recordings. >__<

It's okay, lol. :P

I'll try to call a few more friends and see what I can do... Maybe even my sister's friends. xD

you just have to look it up by character, if it's not assigned or completed on that list in the op then it's available, ps i don't think any male khajiit are taken anyway, digital is right I'm focused on skywind but that's because it requires my focus as i have to convert everything you guys give me file by file to work for skywind, although it will be used in morroblivion aswell, it takes me literally 5 seconds to put it in the right place and it works for morroblivion, I'm at work so i hear your example but did you try to clean it up in audacity like in cinjaxons tutorial
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

I wanted to do M'aiq the most but I read that someone has already been assigned to him.

And I did use a few tutorials for Audacity to remove the noise and add bass and adjust the pitch a little bit.

I'll try a few more stuff and see if I can get it to sound good enough.

ya lol i forgot about him, he's been finished actually
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

All the male Khajiits are assigned on the list... :/

that's should be argonians, are you sure it's not argonians that are assigned
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

I'm 100% sure that all male Khajiits are assigned to Fadingnebula .

@DJD2010:

you can take half of these atleast, we have not heard from fading nebula for some time, just send him a pm on what characters you are doing.

right, ill pm him and see if he even started

for now you can start on the khajiit voicetype that will at least give you some work till i hear from nebula

@DJD2010:  Why dont you try Wadarkhu lines and post those up.

Ok, so 2 things:

1-Someone said that the quality isn't good enough, even though I edited it like in that tutorial.

2- Do i put those up as .LIP files or just .WAV? Cause I have no experience with converting stuff.

Also, if you think I should start regardless of those 2 things, how about I just do all the not completed Khajiit voices in the spreadsheet and you chose which to use and which to not use?  BTW, I can also do female Khajiit sounds, since they have somewhat rough voices, if you're interested, tell me to upload a sample. :)

if you could just do all of wadarkhu's lines and post up the wav and lip files, then i can see if you did it right and check the quality, it will be a good test and good practice for you, then we can see if it is usable or if we have to wait till you can figure out a mic
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

Got it! :)

So about the female Khajiit voices... No?

Sorry for being gone for a while guys x)  I'm still working hard on my recordings (just got a new yeti mic and the quality is so much better I'm re-recording a lot of stuff cause I'd feel bad if I didn't x3)

@DJD2010  Glad to see another kahjit actor :)   But ya, without a good mic there's only so much you can do :(  Look for some direct to usb compressors online, they can be pretty affordable and sound great.  I also recommend downloading audobe Audition software (from wherever you like to shop for things online for free) as it's fantastic for recording, editing, cleaning, and you can export it in any way you like x3

Hope all that helps friend :)

Yea, but you have 99% of the Khajiit roles, lol.

I'll do Wadarkhu as Smiji requested, just for test purposes, then if he doesn't like the quality I'll get a nice affordable HD mic since I don't shop online.

Haha, yeah x3

But hey, if you get the quality and such to a good level we can work on the generals together, it's a staggering amount of lines O_O

Can I atleast have S'viir and Wadarkhu? I like those alot. :(

And Stiji, can I do someone else for the test? Someone with less lines?

im fine with that as long as nebula didnt already finish s'viir which i dont thike he did , just do a few of the lines and try that

So I decided to do J'zhiir for the test, he only has 4 lines, others had either 50 or 1, lol.

If this worked out without me having to get a better mic, me and Nebula will get to an agreement in PMs about who does which character. :)

great i hope you can get the quality down, you will be a great addition

@DJD2010 This is pretty unrelated, but right after I listened to your Khajiit voice acting my iTunes switched to this song:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgLgk73Fuz4

@DJD2010  Sure, as soon as you get the ok from stiji with quality and such we can split up the parts, I'm always one for quality variety in games x)

mq01 in action and finding fargoths ring in action and fully voiced!

cinjaxon there is a missing set of lines in that video and im actually missing those lines from you!

Caius sounds great. Fargoth is decent too, but, sorry to say, the audio quality of Bacola isnt what it should be.

Keep up the amazing work though, I love to see the progress!

ya he was done a while ago before i took over, we will get him redone, but for now our focus is on getting the stuff we don't have done voiced

But yeah, Bacola's voice quality is pretty awful... :')
